Ahead of the commemoration of the International Labour or commonly called May Day, on May 1, preparations have been made by the union to prepare the masses and took to the streets to commemorate International Labor and the demands are almost the same in every year, which rejected the low wages and the elimination of contract Labor system implemented by the company. Every May 1, as has become a common sight the workers do a demonstration in strategic places to voice their aspirations are likely to be heard or not by the leaders of the company.
May 1 be a significant momentum by the workers for the hope of improved welfare. But there are strange at the time of the demo going on, and always repeated every year. The oddity is that each worker march, instead of getting sympathy from the public, but getting despised by the community, as a demonstration conducted normally disturb traffic order which causes congestion everywhere. All workers marched there are always unscrupulous workers who use fancy equipment, such as 250cc and gadgets that can be said to be a costly item. Each worker march, always a heat workers on the road and where labour union members, they waited in the car park with cars they carry. All workers demonstrated and ask for an increase UMK UMP and always not being taken by the government, because the increase in the UMP UMK has been set once a year with a variety of considerations, one of which is the economic inflation and the increase in basic materials.
Now we are questioning whether the rally can labour welfare? Probably not, the workers can only heat and exhaustion. But if the person behind them, which drives them to march gets welfare? Certainly yes, because behind them there are interest groups who want to make the image of the government becomes corrupt and they want to get a good name, so you can easily gather the masses during the upcoming local elections.
But in addressing the May Day, not just the workers who make preparations for the march, but the government is also preparing to seek massive quell labour. As performed by the Dinas Sosial Ketenagakerjaan dan Transmigrasi (Dinsosnakertrans) Bogor Regency has teamed up with the Serikat Pekerja Industri Nasional (SPIN) to create a series of events with the theme Healthy physically and mentally. This is done by Dinsosnakertrans Bogor District to divert the May Day celebrations are usually done with a strike, but is now done with more useful and positive activities.
