Officially Opening HLF-MSP and IAF 2024 in Bali, President Jokowi Calls for Increasing Global Solidarity

Bali – President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, officially opened the High Level Forum on Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships (HLF MSP) and the Indonesia Africa Forum (IAF) II 2024 at the Mulia Nusa Dua Bali Hotel, today, Monday (2/9).

“Welcome to Bali, Indonesia and thank you for coming,” said President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) starting his remarks.

The event was attended by state leaders, high-ranking government officials, and stakeholders from various sectors.

In his remarks, President Jokowi emphasized the importance of cooperation between developing countries in facing global challenges.

“HLF MSP and IAF 2024 are an important momentum for Southern countries to strengthen solidarity and seek innovative solutions in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals,” said President Jokowi.

Several important points conveyed by President Jokowi in the opening of this forum include the importance of solidarity and encouraging mutually beneficial partnerships in various sectors.

The HLF MSP and IAF II in 2024 are expected to produce concrete agreements and strengthen diplomatic and economic relations between Indonesia and African countries, while encouraging the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.

It is known that this international event was covered by 125 media. While based on individual public relations there were 52, 41 foreign journalists, and 393 Indonesian journalists. The total journalists were 486 people.

This was stated by the Minister of Communication and Information, Budi Arie Setiadi, in a press conference at the HLF-MSP and IAF II media center, BNDCC Bali.

“Various facilities are prepared in the media center to support coverage needs such as a press conference room, work area with fast internet access, interview room, audio video services with various formats and live broadcasts,”

Budi Arie Setiadi stated that the provision of facilities and activities in this media center is a form of joint commitment to making the 2nd HLF MSP and IAF in Bali a success.

“The purpose of providing or procuring a media center is to facilitate the effective dissemination of information on the implementation and positive impact of the 2nd HLF MSP and IAF for Indonesia and the world,” said Budi Arie Setiadi.
