AMANAH Holds Seminar on Increasing MSMEs in Collaboration with Educational Institutions

Lhokseumawe – Malikussaleh University (Unimal) in collaboration with the Aceh Unggul Hebat Youth Institution (Amanah) held a seminar themed “Students as the Driving Force of MSMEs: From Ideas to Implementation” at the Hall of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIPOL) Bukit Indah Campus, Lhokseumawe, Sunday (1/9/2024). This seminar aims to encourage students to be more actively involved in the world of entrepreneurship, especially in the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) sector.

The Head of the Student Executive Board (BEM) FISIPOL Unimal, Zulhery, emphasized the importance of synergy between BEM and the Amanah Institution in supporting the development of student potential. “We are committed to continuing to facilitate activities that build student potential and skills, especially in the MSME sector which is the backbone of the nation’s economy,” he said.

He also hopes that this event can broaden students’ insight into the strategic roles that can be taken in developing MSMEs. According to him, students have great potential to become the main drivers in strengthening MSMEs. “I hope that through this event, we can all increase our insight and knowledge to provide a deeper understanding of the strategic roles that we can take in developing MSMEs,” added Zulhery.

Meanwhile, the Dean of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences Unimal, Teuku Zulkarnaen Ph.D, represented by the Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Alumni, Subhani M.Si, said that students have an important role as agents of change. “Through this seminar, we hope that students will not only be able to create creative ideas, but also be able to implement these ideas to build strong and competitive MSMEs,” explained Subhani.

This seminar activity is also expected to motivate students to be more courageous in taking concrete steps in developing entrepreneurial ideas. The synergy between students, universities, and institutions such as Amanah is expected to strengthen the UMKM ecosystem in Aceh, so that it can contribute more to the regional and national economy.
