Airport Expansion I Gusti Ngurah Rai Accelerated Ahead of IMF Annual Meeting October 2018

CIDISS. IMF and World Bank Annual will be held in Indonesia in October 2018, Bali becomes Host in the annual meeting of IMF and World Bank, therefore the government asked Angkara Pusa I as the manager of Airport I Gusti Ngurah Rai Bali to increase the capacity of Runway, Parking Aircraft and the development of several other major facilities, all additional facilities are expected to be completed in October 2018. This is considering the development and expansion is needed to be able to provide good service to the delegation of each country, the event is in thought will be followed by 34 Head Country and 17,000 Delegates from 189 Countries.

It is expected that the maximum service as host, Indonesia can increase the value in the eyes of the International and can increase the flow of Internal investment to Indonesia so that the Indonesian economy will also increase.

The addition of an aircraft parking area or Apron in the western part of the airport by relocating the VVIP 1 and VVIP 2 buildings. The VVIP 1 building will be moved to the east. At that location will also be done the expansion of eastern Apron. Total will increase 10 points aircraft parking. Base Ops Headquarters Ngurah Rai Airbase will also be relocated to be located close to the VIP terminal to facilitate monitoring, later in eastern Apron it is targeted there will be an addition to the parking of four wide-body aircraft, after a number of facilities in the east of the Airport are unloaded among hangar Travira airline, domestic cargo, and other facilities.

Physical facilities to be added include 2 rapid exit taxiways, 11 parking booths in the northern apron, 11 parking booths in the southern apron, 40 units of international check in counters and a 5-story parking building for 748 units of vehicles.

While non-physical facilities that will be developed is the airport operational hours that will be extended to 24 hours and runway capacity added from 27 movements per hour to 31 movements per hour.

Preparation of the expansion of Ngurah Rai Airport is expected to be completed in September, and in October it can be 100% ready to welcome the delegation and head of state from

189 Countries in the World.
