Appreciation for the success of Jokowi’s government infrastructure development deserves a thumbs up. Infrastructure development is considered to be one of the keys for Indonesia to become a developed country and can catch up with other countries.

Chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives Bambang Soesatyo (Bamsoet), appreciated the success of infrastructure development in various fields carried out by President Joko Widodo’s (Jokowi) government. According to him, this success not only connects Indonesia from west to east and from north to south only, but has connected the ties of brotherhood of all the people of Indonesia.

Bamsoet said, infrastructure has connected the ties of brotherhood from Aceh to Papua, as well as from Miangas to Rote. Infrastructure built further Bamsoet, not only highways, but also ports, airports, railroads, irrigation and public housing. He explained that infrastructure development in the field of energy and information technology was not left behind.

In addition, the Deputy Chairperson of KADIN assessed that infrastructure is the key to equitable development and improving people’s welfare. So it is not right if many political elites criticize that farmers, fishermen, and people in rural areas do not need infrastructure.

He added, precisely because of the existence of infrastructure, farmers, fishermen, and also the people in the countryside became easy to distribute their products.

In fact, he said, the Jokowi era infrastructure development had succeeded in opening up employment and reducing unemployment. Bamsoet said, because every Rp 1 trillion in funding absorbs 14,000 workers. More than 7 million workers have been absorbed in various infrastructure projects.

Through the infrastructure development that has been carried out by the Jokowi Government, it can be interpreted that Indonesia has shown the world that our nation has begun to move forward.
