Ir Joko Widodo regained the trust of the Indonesian people to serve as President of the Republic of Indonesia. He and the elected Vice President KH Ma’ruf Amin planned to be officially inaugurated on October 20, 2019. Then what had Joreo inscribed in his first period with Vice President Jusuf Kala ?

In 2016 and 2017 the government successfully completed 30 National strategic projects. The total project value is IDR 94.8 trillion. This is certainly not excessive if President Jokowi has built more infrastructure compared to the previous six Leaders of the country.

Jokowi also tried to start development from the outermost areas, such as the Construction of the Nanga Badau Cross-border Post (PLBN), which turned out to get serious attention so the government has renovated the building to make it more beautiful. Previously, Nanga Badau PLBN was a shabby building with faded paint.

This condition certainly makes the Indonesian people who live on the border feel ‘inferior’ because the appearance of the Indonesian PLBN is very much different from the PLBN owned by the State of Sarawak Malaysia which looks more modern.

But now the conditions are far different. PLBN, which was completed in 2017, is now even more majestic. The building which used to be shabby now has changed into a modern and beautiful building.

The PLBN building was built by bringing up the local culture of Kalimantan and adapting the shape of a typical longhouse complete with local ornaments.

For the economic sector, the former mayor of Surakarta also succeeded in revitalizing the market. The revitalization program of the people’s market is the real step of the government in building the people’s economy. Jokowi’s congregation made these traditional markets better and more convenient for the community to carry out buying and selling transactions.

The revitalization of the people’s market is aimed at increasing the productivity of the people’s economy. In fact, market revitalization can improve social relations through direct transactions.

This market revitalization program is considered to be very effective and able to provide maximum economic benefits for the community. This can be seen in the success of the revitalization of the people’s market which was carried out in several markets, such as Pasar Agung, which initially only had a turnover of Rp 2.5 billion per month. In addition, the Nyanggelan Market, which originally had a turnover of Rp 2 billion, after being revitalized, is able to reap Rp 7 billion per month.

The progress of the acceleration of infrastructure development in the Jokowi-JK era had quite an effect on increasing its electricity, so it was natural for Jokowi to remain superior until the trial at the Constitutional Court.

For the sake of the survival of an area, infrastructure development is certainly something important. Because with the existing development it will add opportunities for the progress of an area.

Infrastructure development also has an impact on increasing employment. In addition, access to get to a place will be easier so that it will speed up the process of transportation of goods delivery both from within and outside the area that can increase the activity of the regional economic wheels.

Previously President Jokowi had stressed the importance of infrastructure development for a country to face the era of competition in the future.

In addition to renovating PLBN, the Government is also aggressively building toll roads. Toll roads are important access for economic growth in the areas that are the purpose of the toll road.

One of the toll roads that has been completed is the SuMo toll road that connects Surabaya and Mojokerto, the existence of the toll road is certainly able to reduce the congestion that often occurs on the Surabaya route to Mojokerto. In addition, with the toll road, there will certainly be more investors eyeing the place as a construction site for companies or factories. This is evidenced by the Top 3 Investment – Existing award with an investment index reaching 93.29 in 2016.

In the transportation sector, Jokowi has built 10 airports, one of which is Kertajati International Airport located in Majalengka Regency, West Java, the airport was inaugurated on May 25, 2018 by President Jokowi.

The success that was inscribed, of course, increasingly convinced the public over Jokowi’s leadership in the second period, hopefully the inauguration procession on October 20 can proceed without any hindrance.
