Southeast Sulawesi, CIDISS – Central Bureau of Statistics Southeast Sulawesi (Sulawesi) noted, economy in Sultra on third quarter of 2015 grew by 6.96 percent. This number increased over the same period the previous year at 5.86 percent. Head of Regional Balance and Statistical Analysis BPS Sultra Surianti Toar said Sultra economic growth in the third quarter grew by 3.86 percent, slower than the acquisition in the second quarter amounted to 6.54.

Sultra economic growth in terms of production occurred in all business fields, except in agriculture, forestry and fisheries negative growth of 3.99 percent. While mining and quarrying sector is the business field that has the highest growth of 16.25 percent. In terms of expenditure, the highest growth by components of gross fixed capital formation amounted to 10.08 percent. “Mining and quarrying sector is the business field that has the highest growth followed by the construction sector amounted to 15.80 percent and 10.97 percent of the company’s services.

Although agriculture, forestry and fisheries negative growth, economic structure in this business field it dominates Sultra GDP is 23.89 percent. Followed by mining and quarrying sector (22.02 percent), construction (13.37 per cent), retail trade and repair large-car-motorcycle into the next contributor to the amount of 11.65 percent.
