Jakarta – The Free Health Check (CKG) Program is a strategic step by the government to strengthen quality healthcare services for the public while supporting the development of superior human resources (HR) towards the vision of Golden Indonesia 2045. The program is considered a concrete manifestation of the government’s commitment to providing more equitable, accessible healthcare services, and oriented towards improving the community’s quality of life.
Through the CKG program, the public is encouraged to raise awareness of the importance of regular health checks to detect various potential diseases early. With earlier detection, medical treatment can be administered appropriately and effectively, thereby minimizing the risk of chronic disease and continuously improving the quality of public health.
Various groups consider strengthening preventive healthcare services to be a crucial long-term investment for the nation’s progress. A healthy population is believed to have higher productivity, thereby strengthening Indonesia’s competitiveness amidst global challenges. Furthermore, a promotive and preventive approach is also considered to support the creation of a more efficient and sustainable national healthcare system.
The Deputy Governor of Central Sulawesi, Reny A. Lamadjido, stated that the CKG program is an important part of building a healthy lifestyle culture within the community. He stated that expanding health screening services will help people understand their health conditions earlier.
“Programs like the CKG are crucial because they are not just focused on treatment, but also on prevention. Public awareness of the need for regular health checkups must be continuously increased to improve their quality of life,” he said.
The government also ensures that the CKG program is implemented in stages and integrated with existing health care facilities in various regions. Support from medical personnel, the use of health technology, and public education are crucial in strengthening the program’s effectiveness.
Meanwhile, the Acting Regional Secretary of Cilegon City, Ahmad Aziz Setia Ade Putra, assessed that strengthening basic health services will have a significant impact on improving the quality of life for Indonesia’s young generation.
“Health is the primary capital for human development. When people have access to good and accessible health services, the quality of Indonesia’s human resources will also improve significantly,” he said.
The CKG program is expected to be a crucial momentum in strengthening collective awareness that health is a shared responsibility. With collaboration between the government, health workers, and the community, efforts to provide quality health services are believed to be able to create a healthy, productive, and superior generation of Indonesians to support the nation’s progress in the future.
