TNI hold Thousands Meranti Wood of Illegal Status

Thousands of illegal timber in district Lahei, Barito Utara and Pelabuhan Pasar Lama, Barito Selatan, has been disclosure by a joint team of Intel Korem 102/Panju Panjung, Central Kalimantan.

CIDISS – Illegal logging in forests of Central Kalimantan is still occurs in this province. This makes law enforcement get angry and perform actions by continuing to conduct monitoring and raids.

TNI (Indonesian National Armed Forces) cannot stay silent with still rampant illegal logging in the region, especially around Regency of Barito Utara and Barito Selatan. This is prove by the disclosure thousands pieces of Meranti wood without the document by a combined team of Intel Korem 102/Panju Panjung, Central Kalimantan.

In the beginning, TNI initially only securing as much as 5000 wood log in Lahei district, Barito Utara which consists of Meranti wood with details of 80 per cent and others 20 per cent of the blend (other meranti).

After that, Intel Korem 102/Panju Panjung found 10.000 of mixed Meranti wood and other types in Pelabuhan Pasar Lama Buntok, Barito Selatan, as quoted in kalteng prokal.co.

Danrem 102/Panju Panjung, Col Arh Purwo Sudaryanto as holder of the highest command of Korem 102/Pjg clarified, Intel Team Korem 102/Pjg has successfully stymies illegal wood.

After checked for document, Found they don’t have and the only expired by the date on December 29, 2015.
