Mukhamad Misbakhun, Head of the Economic Policy Division of the Golkar Party Central Executive Board, emphasized that the benefits of MBG in improving human resources quality are already being felt. He emphasized that this program is not a burden on the state budget, but rather an investment made by the government for the future of the nation.
“MBG is part of the government’s intervention to improve the quality of human resources,” Misbakhun said.
Misbakhun urged the public not to be easily influenced by negative issues circulating on social media regarding the program.
“If someone says Indonesia is dark on TikTok, don’t immediately believe it. MBG is so our children can compete with great nations,” he stressed.
According to him, the various skewed narratives that have emerged do not reflect the reality on the ground and have the potential to weaken the nation’s collective commitment to a program that directly addresses the basic needs of Indonesian children.
“This is not just an ordinary social assistance program, but rather the foundation for human resource development, the results of which we will see in the next one to two decades,” said Misbakhun.
The government continues to continuously improve the program’s governance and distribution to ensure its benefits reach all levels of society equitably and effectively.
Misbakhun invited all elements of society to jointly oversee and support this program as part of a shared commitment to building a more advanced and competitive Indonesia.
Previously, on almost every occasion, President Prabowo Subianto emphasized that the MBG program’s scope extends beyond school children to vulnerable groups such as pregnant women and the elderly.
The MBG program also serves as a driving force for the community’s economy, directly impacting the real sector, particularly farmers and fishermen.
