JAKARTA – President Prabowo Subianto has reiterated his commitment to eradicating corruption and abuse of office within the government. Amidst the emergence of several cases involving state officials, the Head of State remains consistent in upholding the anti-corruption agenda as one of his administration’s top priorities.
This commitment is demonstrated not only through firm law enforcement but also through regular evaluations of the performance of ministries and institutions. These steps are taken to ensure that all government programs are implemented effectively, accountably, and on target for the benefit of the public.
Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi emphasized that President Prabowo consistently places corruption eradication as a national strategic agenda that must be implemented by all levels of government.
“He has repeatedly stated that one thing we must ensure is that we must fight corruption,” said Prasetyo Hadi.
According to Prasetyo, the President’s directive serves as a guideline for all ministries and institutions to maintain integrity in carrying out their duties and responsibilities. The government also continues to strengthen its internal oversight system to prevent deviant practices that could harm the state and the public.
President Prabowo’s firm stance in addressing corruption allegations has also received praise from various civil society groups. Activists from the 98 Resolution Network, for example, believe that the President’s response to corruption allegations within the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) demonstrates the government’s commitment to upholding the principles of clean governance.
Agus Teddy, spokesperson for the 98 Resolution Network, stated that the firm action taken demonstrates the President’s commitment to eliminating any room for abuse of power within the government.
“We extend our highest appreciation to President Prabowo Subianto for his commitment to zero tolerance for all forms of abuse of power, particularly regarding firm legal action within the National Nutrition Agency,” said Agus Teddy.
He added that this action sends a strong message to all state officials that any form of abuse of authority will be prosecuted according to the law without discrimination.
President Prabowo’s commitment to strengthening clean governance is considered an important foundation for building public trust. With strict oversight, continuous evaluation, and firm law enforcement, the government hopes to create a professional, transparent, and service-oriented bureaucracy, while strengthening efforts to achieve a corruption-free government.
