Eradicating corruption continues to be a priority agenda item in President Prabowo Subianto’s administration. Amid public demands for increasingly clean, transparent, and accountable governance, various steps are being taken to strengthen supervisory institutions and law enforcement officials. This commitment is manifested not only through political statements but also through concrete actions that demonstrate the state’s commitment to building a government system free from corruption.

Minister of State Secretary, Prasetyo Hadi, stated that President Prabowo has consistently placed corruption eradication as a top priority on the national government agenda. He stated that the President’s various decisions demonstrate his full support for the impartial law enforcement process. This stance sends an important message that all state officials must uphold integrity in carrying out their duties and responsibilities.

This commitment is evident in various policies that support the independence of law enforcement and supervisory institutions. The government provides space for law enforcement officials to work professionally in accordance with statutory provisions. The President supports every step aimed at strengthening clean governance. The government is also striving to ensure optimal public services despite legal proceedings involving state officials.

Meanwhile, the role of oversight institutions such as the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is becoming increasingly strategic in supporting the governance reform agenda. The KPK not only functions as an enforcement agency but also plays a crucial role in preventing corruption through strengthening systems and oversight. Therefore, support for this institution is a crucial part of the national anti-corruption strategy.

The Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission, Setyo Budiyanto, stated that the President’s statement regarding strengthening law enforcement agencies reflects a clear commitment to eradicating corruption. He noted that during President Prabowo’s administration, law enforcement processes have proceeded without any interference from law enforcement agencies. This situation has provided space for the authorities to work independently and professionally.

Setyo Budiyanto stated that the President’s directive provides an opportunity for the KPK to conduct an inventory of various needs required to strengthen its corruption eradication efforts. These needs could include human resources, budget, operational support, and institutional capacity building. This step is part of efforts to strengthen the effectiveness of the anti-corruption agency.

Synergy between the government and law enforcement agencies is also a crucial factor in building a strong oversight system. Eradicating corruption cannot be done by a single institution alone; it requires mutually supportive cross-agency cooperation. Therefore, effective coordination is one of the keys to success in realizing clean governance.

In addition to law enforcement, corruption eradication also requires support from various elements of society. Community organizations, academics, business actors, and civil society play a crucial role in ensuring government transparency and accountability. Public participation is an integral element in building an anti-corruption culture.

HMU Kurniadi, Chairman of the Gema Kosgoro National Leadership Council, stated that the President’s decisive action against officials suspected of irregularities is clear evidence of the government’s commitment to eradicating corruption. He believes this action demonstrates zero tolerance for abuse of authority, especially in strategic programs that concern the public interest. This firm stance is crucial for maintaining public trust in the government.

Kurniadi stated that national programs aimed at improving public welfare must be implemented professionally, transparently, and accountably. Any form of irregularity that has the potential to harm the state must be handled in accordance with applicable legal mechanisms. This way, the program’s benefits can be maximized for the public.

Strengthening the integrity of state officials must be a continuous agenda. Every state official is required to prioritize the interests of the people above personal or group interests. Efforts to eradicate corruption also have a broad impact on national development. A clean government environment will create legal certainty and increase investor confidence.

The government also understands that eradicating corruption must go hand in hand with efforts to improve the system. In addition to taking action against violators,

Legal advice, bureaucratic reform, and the digitalization of public services are part of the strategy to close the gaps for irregularities. This preventative approach is expected to reduce the risk of corruption from the planning stage through program implementation.

Going forward, synergy between the government, supervisory institutions, law enforcement officials, and the public will increasingly determine the success of the national anti-corruption agenda. Strong political support from the government provides a foundation for supervisory institutions to work optimally. At the same time, public participation serves as a social watchdog that strengthens public accountability.

Through these various steps, President Prabowo’s commitment to strengthening the synergy between supervisory institutions and law enforcement officials is increasingly evident. Support for institutional independence, strengthening institutional capacity, and taking firm action against alleged irregularities are part of the grand strategy for building clean governance. With strong and sustainable collaboration, corruption eradication efforts are expected to strengthen public trust and support the realization of national development with integrity and justice.
