JAKARTA – The level of public trust and satisfaction with the government of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka is showing a positive trend.
The results of the National Survey on Government Performance Evaluation and Current Strategic Issues released by Poltracking Indonesia recorded a public trust level of 74.2 percent, while satisfaction with government performance stood at 72.2 percent.
Poltracking Indonesia’s Principal Researcher, Masduri Amrawi, stated that the public trust figure is a combination of respondents who expressed strong trust and some confidence in the Prabowo-Gibran government.
“If you add up the total of those who expressed strong trust and some confidence, it’s 74.2 percent,” Masduri said.
He explained that 8 percent of respondents expressed strong trust and 66.2 percent expressed some confidence in the current government. Meanwhile, 20.6 percent expressed little trust, and 1.5 percent expressed no confidence.
Masduri also revealed that the level of satisfaction with government performance reached 72.2 percent. In detail, 6.2 percent of respondents stated they were very satisfied and 66 percent were satisfied.
“Then, 23.2 percent were dissatisfied, and 1.9 percent were very dissatisfied,” he said.
The survey showed that several government programs were the main factors driving public satisfaction levels. Government assistance, deemed well-targeted, was the biggest factor, with 14 percent contributing, followed by the Free Nutritional Meals (MBG) Program at 13.8 percent, and leadership deemed firm and authoritative at 10.6 percent.
By sector, the health sector achieved the highest satisfaction rate, at 75.4 percent. Next came defense and security at 74.5 percent, education at 72.5 percent, socio-cultural affairs at 70.3 percent, and politics and national stability at 69.1 percent.
The MBG program was also recorded as the government program most widely perceived as beneficial by the public, with 27.6 percent reporting a recognition rate. Furthermore, the program is the most well-known to the public, with a recognition rate of 92.1 percent of respondents.
Previously, President Prabowo Subianto emphasized that the MBG Program is a strategic step to ensure the nutritional needs of Indonesian children while simultaneously improving the quality of national human resources.
“The MBG concept is very simple: in reality, we find that some of our children go to school every morning without breakfast. In fact, they rarely eat nutritious food at home,” said the President.
