2023 AIS Forum Summit, Indonesia Proves to Be a Maritime Country That the World Takes into Account
Jakarta – Professor at Indonesian Christian University (UKI) Prof. Angel Damayanti, Ph.D said that the 2023 AIS Forum Summit in Bali could prove that Indonesia is a country to be reckoned with by the world.
“Hosting the 2023 AIS Forum Summit is proof that Indonesia is considered an archipelagic country and is capable of hosting international conferences. “This means that Indonesia’s reputation is seen as very positive, because it is able to hold a high-level conference and Indonesia is also recognized as an archipelagic country,” said Prof. Angel Damayanti, Ph.D. during a dialogue on Pancasila TV, Saturday, 7/10/2023.
“Indonesia will become the world’s maritime axis, which means that Indonesia must be seen, must be seen by countries so that it can become a branch marking or become a reference that archipelagic countries or island countries must have indicators of capability that can be used as examples by other countries, for example in particular Indonesia is capable of in managing its seas, managing its marine economy, managing its marine environment, building its maritime culture, building its maritime defense. “This is very strategic because Indonesia is able to show itself as a maritime axis,” he explained
The AIS Summit held in Indonesia will have a very positive impact on other countries’ views of Indonesia because it is able to hold high-level conferences and is recognized as an archipelagic country, said Prof Angel.
Apart from that, he also mentioned that the 2023 AIS Forum Summit could have a big impact on the Indonesian economy, especially in the Bali area.
“Indonesia hosting the 2023 AIS Forum Summit could have a big impact on the economy, which means boosting the economies in the Bali area, for example hotels are fully occupied and other creative economies can be promoted. “For me, this is very positive for improving Indonesia’s image and economy, of course,” he said.
The 2023 AIS Forum Summit in Bali will be attended by a number of countries and also several foreign organizations who are invited to attend the event and are expected to find solutions to the marine problems that are currently occurring.
