Radicalism within the ASN State Civil Apparatus seems to be a concern for the Minister of Religion (Menag) Fachrul Razi who firmly opposes the spread of radical ideas within the ASN environment. The former deputy TNI Commander emphasized that ASNs must love the country and be loyal to Pancasila.
Fachrul said that at one time, he attended a ceremony at one of the BUMNs. When he sang the national anthem Indonesia Raya, he found that one of the officials did not sing. He still thought well, maybe the official was sick. He also asked, the official said that he was not sick, suddenly Fachrul Meradang.
He angrily told the official, if you don’t get sick, you respect Indonesia Raya because you are a civil servant! And we are servants of the country if you don’t respect, come out.
The Minister of Religion also stressed that each ASN must have the same view and attitude in loving the Homeland. Fachrul reminded the official not to repeat his actions.
Previously, PBNU Chair Said Aqil Siradj requested that the government crack down on radicalism. So there should be no impression of the state losing in facing terrorism.
He said radicalism had spread to various provinces, such as West Java, Central Java and East Java. He considered that Indonesia was an emergency of radicalism.
Radical understanding clearly wants the Pancasila to be revised, this will certainly be dangerous if there are internal civil servants who are still reluctant to respect Red and White and are not willing to sing the song Indonesia Raya.
If this has happened, then the relevant government such as the BNPT must prepare a formula to tackle radicalism in the ASN environment, such as counter radicalization, for example, where we prepare the resilience of the community in accepting understanding from outside. Understanding that must be anticipated is that which has the potential to affect diversity.
Next is deradicalization, where this program has a function in returning national values to those who are exposed to radicalism.
Next is classifying levels in the program. The more radical someone understands. Then the stronger the de-radicalization program will be realized.
Control of ASN exposed to radicalism also seems to get support from BNPT and BPIP who have committed to coordinate with each other in identifying the potential of radicalism.
On the other hand, people who want to register for the selection of 2019 civil servant candidates (CPNS) must learn a new thing to answer the questions in the Basic Competency selection stage, this is knowledge about anti-radicalism.
Head of the Bima Haria Wibisana State Staffing Agency (BKN) said this was done to prevent ASN from being exposed to radicalism.
He already has the desire to include questions relating to anti-radicalism like that. Although the portion of questions about radicalism is only a few and will be included in the SKD in the section on the National Insight Test (TWK).
The latent danger of radicalism, if left unchecked, will easily damage the unity and integrity of the Indonesian nation, so that radical ideas should be prevented as early as possible.
On a different occasion, Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo once said that he got a report from the public that there were still a number of ASNs who had a radical understanding.
From a number of these reports, it was found that there were ASNs that attached banned flags. Some teach teachings and teachings that are not in accordance with Pancasila.
His party had already summoned a number of ASNs that were indicated to have understood radicalism. After clarification, many of them dodge it.
Ganjar also emphasized that ASN in Central Java must be loyal to the Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution. If you do not agree, you must be open and express your disagreement, don’t secretly pass it on to others.
He said he would continue to oversee and provide guidance to all ASN in Central Java. If it cannot be fostered, it will be given a warning many times and the hardest sanction is dismissal.
Radicalism is a threat that is not kidding, the state ideology is final and cannot be disturbed by anyone. An ASN who serves the government must be an example for other people about how to be a good citizen, that is, obedient to the 1945 Constitution and upholds the values of Pancasila.
