Our virtual world is being hit by liver disease. Garbage information is scattered massively without verification and confirmation. Hoaxes, sas-sus, slander, and blasphemies were almost endless. Sumir information that is outdated comes and goes.
This disease has become almost endemic. According to the Indonesian Ministry of Communication and Information, there are estimated to be at least 1500 sites suspected of being producers of hoax viruses, fake news, and expressions of hatred.
Citizens or Netizens have become a virtual community, but the real thing that is felt effective is just spreading news information. Only capital devices that are filled with internet quotas, supposedly live so much more colorful. Without essential literacy, this condition exists.
Plus-minus, Pro-Cons, positive – negative often leads to social and even legal cases. That’s the other side of the rampant social media activity. Not limited to a series of sentences that can be read, but also images, even videos that can be viral at any time. Creative social media content is not just a marketing segment in the business industry. Cultural missions to political missions often appear on various social media pages. Perpetrators and connoisseurs are none other than netizens or citizens themselves.
Make the abundance of information as productive capital to a higher level. Take advantage of social networking to work together to increase productivity and achieve mutual prosperity. There are many positive and creative ways to take advantage of the development of this communication technology without adding sin.
Do not be content just to be a generation of predators of false news, eaters of rumors, or lovers of other negative content.
In the era of freedom of opinion and social conduct, empathy and using a wise attitude increasingly need to be done together. At least to keep words from hurting others or more able to foster optimism.
Action spreading news hoax is not a rewarding alms. Instead, it sows the seeds of evil that will return to all of us. Copas penchant (copy-paste) is not commendable because it can kill all of our creativity as intelligent human beings.
On the other hand, manipulating messages and distorting information to ignite emotions includes dishonorable actions. Thinking that other people can get hurt because of our sentences in the virtual realm is the same as training ourselves to guard our hearts. It’s time not to be provoked by the manipulation of truth or even verses that can actually divide us all.
The virtual world is actually a mirror of the heart. The activity recorded in digital data is a description of the contents of the mind that are usually not visible in the real world. He is like a terminal that connects our actions in the world with a berth in the hereafter.
So there is no other word than to be aware of social media activists who do not merely spread slander, hoak, but have played a synagogue of hastag that threatens the calm and peace of the Indonesian condition. Especially if you already use SARA issues. Let’s work together to block it for the future of our children and grandchildren.
