CIDISS. The election of regional heads will be held simultaneously in 2018. The democracy party event is also a prefix and warm-up before the 2019 election. Although it has no relationship, there is a link between the democratic party and the increasing circulation of counterfeit money. Based on the Director of the Department of Money Control at Bank Indonesia Luctor E Tapiheru, the perpetrators of counterfeit money usually see the momentum of the circulation of money in the community so predicted that the momentum of regional head elections will be used by the perpetrators to circulate counterfeit money to the public.
Although there is really no correlation between the spread of counterfeit money and local elections, it cannot be denied that the circulation of money is increasing as local elections are held simultaneously. This is what the irresponsible person used to circulate counterfeit money.
Based on the results of monitoring by Bank Indonesia, the circulation of counterfeit money is currently dominated by the Java area compared to other areas, and even small shop owners have to be careful, because usually the perpetrator will target a shop that does not have counterfeit money detector equipment. It is hoped that the public will be more careful in accepting money during the transaction, since Bank Indonesia will not replace the counterfeit money with genuine money if there is a society that is the victim of the money circulation.
All parties expect the pilkada to run well without any obstacles. But there is no doubt that there are a number of parties who take advantage of this moment to gain personal gain. As good citizens, we are obliged to report all violations occurring in local elections, although they are not directly related to the holding of local elections. By doing so, we indirectly assist the government to hold a dignified regional head election.
