Keep The Spirit, Indonesia!!!
CIDISS. In organizing the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta and Palembang, Indonesia sent a number of athletes in several sports. Each athlete who is sent is expected to achieve the best results in the form of a gold medal that can bring Indonesia’s name to the international world. In addition, with the win of a sport, it is expected that the sport in question will be better known to the public and the government’s attention to the sport will be even greater.
Until Thursday, August 23, 2018, Indonesia succeeded in adding the 2018 Asian Games medal. The medal addition has not changed Indonesia’s position in the standings. Indonesia has been able to add medals from several sports which are contested at the 2018 Asian Games. Two medals, including one gold piece, are presented in the Paragliding branch. In that branch, Jafro Megawanto won the Paragliding gold medal for the men’s landing accuracy number. After that it was Rika Wijayanti’s turn to win bronze in the women’s landing accuracy number.
The next two medals for Indonesia at the 2018 Asian Games were born from the Paddle branch. There are Yayah Rokayah and Julianti who won bronze from the women’s doubles. While Ali Buton, Ferdiansyah, Ihram, and Isadi Ardi won the Silver Lightweight Men’s number 4. With these results, Indonesia has so far collected a total of 21 2018 Asian Games medals. The details are 7 gold, 5 silver and 9 bronze. Indonesia is in fifth place in the standings.
Overall, China still leads the medal standings with 51 gold, 34 silver and 16 bronze. Japan followed with 20 gold, 25 silver and 28 bronze. However, Indonesia’s position in the current standings is not a bad thing. Indonesia cannot be number one at this time, but the holding of the Asian Games which is still a few days away indicates that we cannot be discouraged. Let all citizens support Indonesia in the Asian Games event so that it can provide the best results. Indonesia certainly can!!!
