The whole world is currently facing a corona virus pandemic or Covid-19, including Indonesia. The outbreak did not only have an impact on human health, it also had implications for various other sectors, such as economic, social and tourism. These conditions also disrupt the preparation of the XX National Sports Week (PON) in Papua.
The people, especially Papuans, are very hopeful that national standard sports events which were originally held on October 20-November 2, 2020, can continue, even though they are likely to experience delays.
PON XX in Papua, not only as a venue to show the sports achievements of athletes throughout Indonesia, but also as a moment to strengthen the fabric of brotherhood and a sense of unity among the nation’s children within the framework of the Unitary Republic of Indonesia (NKRI). In addition, the holding of a national standard sports party is a tangible manifestation of the accelerated development of Indonesia. Therefore, it is appropriate that PON XX be supported by all Indonesian people.
To contribute to the success of PON XX in Papua, Radio Power 89 FM Jakarta plans to hold a live talk show with the theme “Support the Success of PON XX in Papua Amid the Covid-19 Pandemic”
