Radicalism seems to still be a real threat at this point. This understanding also targets the younger generation who are still emotionally unstable, so that the younger generation must receive protection from being exposed to radicalism.

The strengthening of true national, peaceful and religious narratives must continue to be given to young people so that they have immunity and the ability to fight these violent notions. Because of this, the existence of cyber peace ambassadors from the National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT) is a solution in spreading messages of unity, peace, tolerance in order to prevent young people from being exposed to radicalism.
Terrorism expert Huda Ismail is concerned about counter-narrative efforts against radical ideas that target the younger generation. Super important narrative work such as creating content related to youth is something that must be done to counter the phenomenon of exposure to radical views.
Noor Huda himself is the person behind the scenes of creating content related to terrorism through books and short films. Some of his short films are Jihad Selfie, Cross Fire and Disappointed Because Your Father Became a Terrorist which was witnessed by ambassadors for peace in the virtual world of BNPT.
In his films, he directly involves the perpetrators of acts of terrorism. One of them was Munir Kartono in the film Disappointed Because Your Father Became a Terrorist. Munir had lived in prison for four years as a result of his involvement in financing terrorism in the Surakarta Police Headquarters bombing case.
Noor Huda admitted that he deliberately involved terrorist actors so that films from the perpetrators’ confessions were realistic so that people would have more faith. Moreover, they had been part of a terrorist group. They already know that they have been lied to by the old group, so they have the energy to fight against their old narratives.
From these films it is known that the viruses of radicalism and terrorism infect a person not only from the religious route, but also from other social problems. For example Munor Kartono, he was radicalized starting from an unresolved family problem, so he looked for a way out of the house. It was from there that he met a figure affiliated with ISIS in Indonesia, Bahrun Naim. Even Munir and Bahrun Naim discussed plans for acts of terrorism while playing billiards.
This shows that there are many ways to enter into spreading radicalism, not only recitation, even from playing billiards one can spread radicalism.
Meanwhile, Munir Kartono also explained his experience of the process of radicalization he experienced. According to him, the process was so long that it started with protracted family problems and provoked him to look for an identity outside the home, even on the streets, until he was finally radicalized.
It all happens outside the home, through association. Then he also found a network of terrorists all outside the house.
When he was first looking for an identity outside the home, Munir said he met punk kids. But these punk kids are not like most who like to play music with dirty make-up. They set up free street library stalls. These readings draw forms of resistance to feudal ideals, forms of old-fashioned values, including not in accordance with the Indonesian state.
Until finally Munir joined HTI (Hizbut Tahrir Indonesia) and met Bahrun Naim who happened to be the same age, same profession and had the same hobby, namely managing an internet cafe. He admitted that he would come to Solo, play billiards with him until he finally made money for terrorist groups.
Munir seeks terror funding by breaking into Paypal. From there the funds flow into the crypto currency in the form of Bitcoin. In 2012 coincidentally the Bitcoin chart is on a sharp rise.
From the funds purchased by Bitcoin, when it is sold, the difference in value is very high. Those funds were then channeled to Bahrun Naim, who then distributed them everywhere, such as people leaving for Syria, carrying out bombings in Indonesia, including financing the families who carried out the bombing terror.
Currently, Munir has admitted that he has fully recovered after serving four years in Purwakarta Prison and Sentul Special Prison. He recounted the process when he pledged his allegiance to returning to the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia at Purwakarta Penitentiary. After that, he volunteered to get further coaching at the BNPT Deradicalization Center (Pusderad) in Sentul.
He also considered that the greatest potential for vulnerability to radicalization lies in young people, ranging from the millennial generation to generation Z. Moreover, the problem is not only ideological, but can be from small unresolved problems.
