Strengthen Pancasila is a Solution to Face The Threat of Radicalism, Separatism
JAKARTA – Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences of Djuanda University, Bogor, Muhammad Yusuf Seran, said that the issue of separatism was born out of socio-economic conditions that led to separation.
Why do you want to separate, the cause or one of the main factors, for example, from the economic side of Papua which is very rich. But the conditions of the community are far different.
“I consider this as a trigger why dissatisfaction arises. However, the Government has also responded with special autonomy and trillions of budgets for development there,” Muhammad Yusuf Seran said in a special dialogue ‘The Role of Media, Society Preventing the Threat of Radicalism and Separatism in the City Bogor, Wednesday (10/23/2019).
Bogor PWI Chair, Aritha Utama Surbakti
emphasized that in campaigning for peaceful journalism, opponents of the media are no longer violent or anything but social media are more separatist in existence.
In 2018, the MoCI has blocked dozens of sites related to radicalism and separatism content.
Related to the role of the media, in counteracting radicalism and peratism is the work of journalists, when journalists do not have the morality or values of the Pancasilais, the product will become a bigger ‘stove’.
“So the journalists must of course work based on their conscience and the truth is that the Homeland is based on Pancasila. So they cannot leave the Pancasila railroad,” said Aritha.
He continued, journalist ethics in writing must not deviate from the values of Pancasila and then SARA elements.
“Our enemy (media) is the social media that I mentioned earlier that is not our realm, it is in the Government,” he stressed.
Still in the same place as Korem 061 / Surya Kencana Commander, Col. Inf TNI Novi Helmy Prasetya said there was no room for radicalism and separatism on Indonesian soil.
“There is no ideology other than Pancasila, then the 1945 Constitution, do not easily believe about haoks. In fact, the beauty that has been done by the state is very much for Papua, but it cannot be conveyed otherwise it was damaged by separatist groups,” said Danrem.
The former commander of the D Paspampres group also advised to maintain the four pillars of nationality to be implanted in the young generation, then instill nationalism and national defense as a unified whole.
“Anyone who undermines the Unitary Republic of Indonesia will face us, not just the TNI / Polri,” he said. []
