Presidential candidate number 01, Joko Widodo (Jokowi) introduced three new cards that will become his program when re-elected in the 2019 Presidential Election. The three cards, namely Pre-Work Card, Indonesia Smart Card (KIP) to lecture, and Basic Food Card. The Pre-Work Card is a training improvement program that will be provided by the government for job seekers. The hope is that future job seekers will get skills before entering the workforce.
Meanwhile, Minister of Finance, Sri Mulyani Indrawati, revealed that President Jokowi’s plan to issue three new cards as a medium for distributing social assistance would not burden the budget in the state budget. According to him, the three cards will become a more consolidated medium of aid distribution, because previously the allocation of social assistance was spread in the expenditure posts of several Ministries based on the aid sector. The consolidation of aid posts with the addition of three new cards will increase accountability and transparency in managing the budget.
Programmed Pre-Work Card, will provide cooperative training, skilling, re-skilling and upskill services. This is vocational training to improve skills for those who have not worked, workers and those who will change jobs. Programs like this are needed to improve the quality of Indonesian human resources. With the existence of these cards, Jokowi hopes to further enhance the HR empowerment program so that Indonesia has premium quality HR.
The government has launched various programs to improve community skills. One of them is a vocational program by establishing a community training center (BLK) community in Islamic boarding schools. In 2019 the government aims to establish 1000 community BLKs.
In addition to the Pre-Work Card, Jokowi will also strengthen the Smart Indonesia Card which was originally only given up to the high school / vocational level to become a lecture bench. With this KIP card, the education of all the nation’s children can be guaranteed. Weak economic conditions of kelularga become no longer a barrier for Indonesian children to attend education up to college. At present, KIP has been given to 18.7 million students throughout Indonesia to meet their educational needs.
The Director of the Jokowi-Ma’ruf TKN Young Voter Mobilization, Bahlil Lahadalia explained “Jokowi’s new 3 card program is a good mind, a wise mind from a leader to make a decision of the Political Will in order to provide certainty for his people.” say certainty for high school graduates to be able to continue to college, certainty of graduating from college to get a job and certainty when prices are high, the government is here to make cheap with these cards.
