The streets began to appear crowded with the many travelers who returned home, several shops and supermarkets opened operational hours for more than 10 pm to serve the people who wanted to celebrate the Eid. Of course we hope that Eid is not just a lively and ceremonial family gathering, but also the right moment to reconnect with unity in an atmosphere of mutual forgiveness.

Some time before, Indonesia was indeed heating up with the existence of political contestation, where differences in choice became a gap that sometimes was still difficult to unite, even the disparity appeared very much, including the scholars and religious leaders who should be role models for the community. However religion is a moral guide to politics, but it does not mean politicizing religion, moreover, Muslims will celebrate Eid al-Fitr.

Previously Habib Syahdu once said that dying in a state of defending one’s political ambitions could not be classified as a martyr, but died silly. Humans as social beings certainly have done something that has caused hatred in others. It is fitting for us to welcome the arrival of Eid al-Fitr by opening our hearts, especially in giving and apologizing to others.

The Chairperson of Rabithah Alawiyah Zen Habib Umar bin Smith invited Muslims to rid themselves of all liver diseases. Of course, it also maximizes the last 10 days of Ramadan to worship Allah SWT.

“We also need to reflect and make a self evaluation or mukhasabah,” he said.

Habib Zen said, self-evaluation needs to be done by all people. The goal, so that one’s view is not only focused on worldly matters. The people must stop spreading the accusations and utterances of hatred which cause noise and national hostility.

He also emphasized that those who do evil are people who are losing money. A believer, said Habib Zen, must also be able to remind with a polite manner and adab. Therefore, he sincerely hopes that all Muslims have the spirit to forgive one another, strengthen friendship, share love and respect each other’s opinions.

“Let us not be dragged into divisions that will ultimately bring harm to us all,” he said.

The call for unity was also called for by the Deputy General Chair of the Islamic Unity Leadership Center (PP Persis) Ustaz Jeje Zaenudin. It invited all Indonesian people, especially Muslims, to re-knit unity and unity.

“PP Persis hopes that in the atmosphere of unity, the unity will return to intact ahead of Eid al-Fitr and so on,” Ustaz Jeje said.

Unity needs to be woven again considering that the Indonesian people were divided into two camps during the simultaneous election of 2019. Ustadz Jeje asked the two sides to carry out national reconciliation.

“There needs to be national post-election reconciliation, although of course the judicial proceedings in the Constitutional Court continue to go according to the agenda. But it must be addressed calmly, wisely and confidently about the independence of the Constitutional Court, “Ustaz Jeje said.

He also advised that each individual would be more selective in receiving information and disseminating it, because this also affected the quality of our Ramadhan worship.

If the public is not careful in accepting
information, it will be very susceptible to be affected by those who deliberately want to provoke.

“We must be able to maintain the solemnity of the fasting of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr,” he said.
Indonesia is home to all Indonesian people, so it would be better if we enlarge the equation and minimize differences.

It is time for halal bi halal in the momentum of Eid al-Fitr to reduce tensions that occur during the simultaneous election of 2019.

Eid al-Fitr can certainly be interpreted as a moment to return to holiness. Because, in living a social life for a year ago there must be behavior that has caused hatred in others. If the mistake is to Allah, then simply say istighfar, but if the mistake is between human and human, then it must ask halal to the wronged man.

In celebrating Eid al-Fitr, of course Muslims will really hope for their fitrah, they will return to their hometown, come to the lord to sungkem and apologize, also stay in touch with relatives.
