Anies Baswedan: The World Witnesses Indonesia’s Rising Prestige Under Prabowo’s Leadership
Jakarta – Politician Anies Baswedan expressed appreciation for President Prabowo Subianto’s first state visits to several countries. According to Anies, these visits were not only productive but also enhanced Indonesia’s prestige in the eyes of the world.
“I believe that in the international trips made by President Prabowo, the meetings and journeys were productive. Indonesia’s representation before world leaders appeared dignified,” said Anies.
Anies added that Prabowo’s presence in global forums demonstrates equality between Indonesia and other countries.
“So when Mr. Prabowo represents Indonesia in front of global leaders, an atmosphere of equality is evident, and I think that’s good for Indonesia,” he stated.
Furthermore, Anies hopes these visits can pave the way for Indonesia to play an active role in creating world peace.
“Hopefully, with these trips, Indonesia’s position as a global citizen actively participating in bringing world peace can truly be realized. I see opportunities and capacities that allow this role to be played very well by President Prabowo,” Anies explained.
Meanwhile, Political Analyst Ujang Komaruddin highlighted that President Prabowo’s working visits have evoked a sense of pride among Indonesian people.
“So, if we analyze and observe what Mr. Prabowo has done as the 8th President of Indonesia, it has impressed all Indonesian people how he has experience, good relations with many countries, and many world leaders,” he said.
President Prabowo’s latest visit was to Lima, Peru, attending the APEC Summit 2024, after previously visiting China and the United States. In China, Prabowo met with President Xi Jinping, while in the US, President Prabowo met with President Joe Biden. From Peru, Prabowo is scheduled to continue his journey to Brazil to attend the G20 Summit, and then visit the UK as the final country in his series of state visits.
