Although the BPN has attempted to file a lawsuit to the Constitutional Court (MK) with allegations of 2019 election fraud, the victory of Jokowi’s number 01 candidate pair – Ma’ruf Amin has been confirmed unstoppable.
Most of the KPU’s quick count and real count results, in large part, have shown that the Prabowo-Sandiaga pair must accept defeat not to serve as president and vice president in the next 5 years.
One of the reasons for Jokowi’s victory – Ma’ruf Amin was the voice of young voters, it was conveyed by the Director of the Young Voters’ Mobilization Team (TKN) Joko Widodo-Ma’ruf Amin, Bahlil Lahadalia, who said that young voters still voted for Jokowi – Ma’ruf Amin, although the couple 01 got a lot of information about hoaxes and hate speech.
According to Bahlil, young people who are generally critical give more confidence to the Jokowi – Maufuf couple to build Indonesia in the future.
“Pak Jokowi has been proven for almost five years, can develop the economy well, and make Indonesia conducive,” said the Chairman of the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (HIPMI).
According to him, youth is a smart and rational millennial group. He also felt optimistic that the Jokowi – Maufuf pair would win the 2019 election with a vote of around 55.6 percent.
The victory of the former mayor of Surakarta was also the topic of a number of foreign media. Although Jokowi did not win in most parts of Sumatra, the defeat was closed by votes in East Java and Central Java. Therefore, even though Prabowo excelled in Sumatra, Jokowi was able to compensate for his defeat in Sumatra, with great advantages in Central and East Java.
Even Prabowo was allegedly superior in West Java, but Prabowo and BPN as Timses Prabowo – Sandiaga could not maximize the potential of votes in West Java.
The next factor that became the key to the victory of Joko Widodo – Ma’ruf Amin was the solidity of minority voters supporting Jokowi – Ma’ruf Amin.
“The results of the Quick Count in provinces such as Bali, NTT, North Sulawesi and Papua showed a very high margin of excellence for Joko Widodo – Ma’ruf Amin.
On another occasion, TKN Chair Erick Thohir once confirmed that the victory achieved by the candidate pair 01 was obtained without fraud. He said, the victory of Paslon 01 was the will of God through the voice of the people.
“This is for the good of Indonesia. It is impossible for good to be gained through fraud, “said Erick Thohir.
This shows that Jokowi – Ma’ruf Amin is trusted by the community as a leader who promotes the motto of the singular diverse ika, and has a spirit of tolerance towards the minority.
Even so, the Prabowo-Sandiaga camp still did not accept the fact with a lackluster attitude, the lawsuit was submitted to the Constitutional Court after the riots on May 22 then subsided.
Pair number 01 Joko Widodo and Ma’ruf Amin managed to get 55.50 percent of the votes from the total national legitimate votes. While the pair number 02 must accept the reality with a score of 44.50 percent of the total valid national votes.
Elections are one way to form a government that is fair and truly represents the people and strengthens national unity. For this reason, all parties involved should play a noble role, whether they are supervisors, election participants, or supporters so that they will always ease the chaos that never ends.
Elections are indeed important for a country that adheres to a democratic system, but unity as a nation and state is also important, because maintaining Indonesian unity is not only the responsibility of the president or vice president, but all the people of Indonesia.
