President Prabowo’s Overseas Working Visit, Encourages Economic Equality Through Foreign Investment
Jakarta – President Prabowo Subianto’s visit to several countries has received a positive response. With a mission to strengthen the national economy and accelerate economic equality throughout the region, President Prabowo has succeeded in obtaining investment commitments worth billions of dollars from several multinational companies operating in the industrial, technology, and infrastructure sectors.
Deputy Chairperson of the Gerindra Party, Rahayu Saraswati, emphasized that President Prabowo’s overseas visit is a strategic step to attract target investors. Indonesia is a country with great potential with abundant natural resources and human resources that continue to develop.
“Indonesia is a very large, very vast country. With the state budget, it is impossible to achieve economic growth as we expect, which is 8% in the next 5 years. So there needs to be massive investment in Indonesia,” said Rahayu.
Meanwhile, Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives Saan Mustopa also hopes that President Prabowo Subianto’s visit to a number of countries will ‘bring home’ investment to Indonesia.
“It is hoped that when he returns, there will be many things that can be brought home from his overseas visit, whether investment or assistance for Indonesia in the future. Because we also need investment assistance from abroad. So that’s our hope,” said Saan.
To note, President Prabowo’s visit is an effective strategic step in strengthening the national economy amidst global challenges. The investment that is successfully obtained is expected to create hundreds of thousands of new jobs and strengthen the foundation of the Indonesian economy in the long term.
The government is optimistic that it can attract a lot of investment in order to achieve the target of better economic equality, while strengthening national economic resilience. Through this step, Indonesia is expected to continue to invite the interest of foreign investors to contribute to the development of the country.
Previously, President Prabowo emphasized that this investment would not only focus on the capital or big cities, but would be distributed to various regions. This step is expected to accelerate development in areas that have so far received less attention so as to reduce the economic gap between regions.
This investment commitment is expected to help strengthen strategic sectors and encourage the creation of sustainable jobs in Indonesia.
