CIDISS – terrorism is a term that happens in many countries. The term of terrorism means use of violence for political purposes. In Indonesia, there are some cases of terrorism.
In 2015, there are 82 cases. In the next year 2016, there are 170 cases of terrorism. It is said by chief of Indonesian police, Tito Karnavian. It concluded that terrorism cases increase in 2016 than previous year 2015.
In the beginning of 2016, there are cases of “Thamrin Bomb”. The case is happen on 14 January 2016. There are four suspects in this case which brings pistol and bomb. They are Dian Juni Kurniadi, Muhammad Ali, Afif atau Sunakin and Ahmad Fauzan. They attack police and blow up their selves in an America’s Starbucks café in MH Thamrin street, Jakarta.
Meanwhile, in the end of 2016, Saturday night, 10 December 2016, there are incident “Bom Panci Bekasi”. In the cases, three suspects were arrested by Police in Bekasi, East Java, one of them is female.
According to Tito, the increase of terrorism cases is caused by political cases in Syria and Iraq. “The increase of terrorism cases is caused by politic in Syria and Iraq which is not stable caused ISIS attack, then it influence the terrorism cases in Indonesia,” said Tito such in Antaranews.com.
Tito stated that in 2015, ISIS is still making strategy with expansion to some countries. “But, in 2016, their position is down caused by attack, and they decided to control their movement in outside Iraq and Syria, one is Indonesia,” said him.
