Fostered by PORBIN, BIN Jakarta Women’s Volleyball Team Wins Proliga 2023 Second Round
Jakarta – Jakarta BIN managed to win in the second round of PLN Mobile Proliga 2023, after Jakarta Pertamina Fastron had to accept a two-set defeat against Jakarta Elektrik PLN at UNY Yogyakarta Sports Hall on Sunday (19/2). Meanwhile, in the second round of Men’s Volleyball, BIN won second place in this round.
Not only that, Jakarta BIN has now won the top of the final standings in the second round of the most prestigious professional volleyball competition in this country.
Jakarta BIN won the second round by calculating the ratio of winning sets, which refers to the standings on the official Proliga website, Jakarta BIN recorded 14 wins compared to Pertamina Fastron’s 11.
Previously, in the first round, Jakarta Pertamina Fastron had to accept defeat from Jakarta BIN 2-3 (22-25, 25-20, 25-16, 20-25, 9-15).
In the second round final standings, Jakarta BIN scored 11 out of 5 matches, while Pertamina Fastron was in second place with a score of 9 out of 5 matches. Thus, Jakarta BIN won the first place in the second round of the Proliga.
Regarding the Final Four round later, Jakarta BIN coach, Octavian, said that he was very optimistic that his team could present victory in the Final Four.
“In the Final Four, we will also do a lot of rotations like this. Alhamdulillah, this rotation went smoothly. This will increase the team’s confidence to face the Final Four,” said Octavian in a press release received by the media on Sunday (19/2/2023).
The two Volleyball Teams, both male and female, are fostered by the Sports Association of the State Intelligence Agency or Porbin, as an implementation of the government’s commitment and attention in this case BIN under the leadership of Mr. Gen. Pol (Purn) Budi Gunawan, SH, M.Sc., Ph.D., on sports in Indonesia.
Head of BIN Budi Gunawan said that the attention given to the development of national sports was inseparable from the commitment to re-start the glory of Indonesian sports achievements.
“BIN has the capacity to contribute to the provision of infrastructure, recruitment of brilliant trainers and talented athletes, coaching patterns, to a sport-science approach in athlete training,” said General Pol (Purn) Budi Gunawan, SH, M.Sc., Ph. D to the media crew.
According to him, this is a special concern for the development of sports as an effort to restart the heyday of sporting achievements in the country, including making the name of the Indonesian nation proud on the international stage through sports.
It’s no joke, it turns out that athletes in all branches developed by BIN have a number of professional trainers.
