Jakarta – Ahead of the inauguration of President-elect Prabowo Subianto and Vice President-elect Gibran Rakabuming Raka, various strategic initiatives and programs have been prepared to support the government transition and advance Indonesia.

With a focus on infrastructure development, housing, and empowering the younger generation, these programs are expected to drive the national economy and improve people’s welfare.

One of the flagship programs is the construction of one million apartments per year in urban areas.

Cushman & Wakefield Indonesia’s Strategic Consulting Director, Arief Rahardjo, emphasized that this program will not only provide affordable housing for the millennial and Gen Z generations.

“This program also improves access to public transportation by building apartments near public transportation networks,” said Arief.

He added that the government in the future will build or renovate 40 houses per village/sub-district per year so that three million houses will be achieved starting from the second year of the work period.

In this regard, Bank Tabungan Negara (BTN) plays an active role in supporting this program, collaborating with the Housing Task Force to design strategies that touch all aspects of the national housing ecosystem.

On the other hand, member of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Bambang Soesatyo or Bamsoet, stated that the industrial downstreaming strategy implemented by President Joko Widodo has also been proven to provide very positive results.

“One proof is that there has been a very rapid increase in investment value in the non-oil and gas processing industry sector in the last decade,” explained Bamsoet.

He also expressed support for Prabowo’s plan to continue industrial downstreaming and natural resource management.

“It is hoped that it can increase the investment value in the industrial sector, which has proven successful during the previous administration,” said Bamsoet.

The health sector is also a major concern. Lecturer at the Faculty of Health Sciences, UM Surabaya, Dede Nasrullah, revealed that the government has prepared a budget of around Rp 5 trillion for free health checks for 52 million people, including tuberculosis (TB) tests.

Meanwhile, in the context of food security, Don Muzakir from Tani Merdeka emphasized the importance of mentoring farmers so that aid is right on target. By building networks at the village level, it is hoped that farmers can be more prosperous and government programs can run smoothly.

Prabowo Subianto emphasized his determination to manage Indonesia’s wealth optimally for the welfare of all people.

“I am committed to eliminating poverty and ensuring every child gets nutritious food every day,” Prabowo said.

Prabowo emphasized that Indonesia’s wealth should be enjoyed by all people, not just a few. He is also determined to eliminate poverty from Indonesia, and eradicate corruption.

With various programs and support from various groups, the transition to the Prabowo-Gibran government is expected to bring Indonesia to a better, fairer, and more prosperous future.
