The Secretary General of PP Muhammadiyah Appreciates 10 Years of Jokowi’s Administration and Supports the Continuation of the Elected President’s Programs.
Jakarta – The Secretary-General of Muhammadiyah, Prof. Abdul Mu’ti, expressed appreciation to President Joko Widodo for his success in the development of Indonesia during his 10 years in office.
Mu’ti assesses that the equitable distribution and acceleration of development in Indonesia during President Jokowi’s era has been massive and significant, benefiting all Indonesian people, and that cooperation with Muhammadiyah has been progressing well in various fields.
“We express our appreciation for the performance he has delivered during his 10 years leading Indonesia, and the collaboration that has developed between President Jokowi and Muhammadiyah in various fields,” said Mu’ti.
Mu’ti also invites the entire community to appreciate and respect leaders who have made remarkable achievements in various fields and contributed to the welfare of the Indonesian people.
“We must be a nation that is capable of appreciating and respecting its leaders by objectively assessing in a comprehensive manner the achievements that President Jokowi and his team have accomplished, which we should acknowledge,” he added.
Furthermore, Mu’ti also urged the public to ensure that the simultaneous regional elections are conducted safely and peacefully, so that the quality of democracy in Indonesia can be maintained and remain dignified.
“With the experience from the Presidential and Legislative elections, how can we realize the Simultaneous Regional Elections in a fair, safe, peaceful manner, and without money politics, while fostering a sense of tolerance among those with differing choices,” said Mu’ti.
Mu’ti also urged the public to support the Prabowo-Gibran administration in realizing programs for the advancement of the nation and the welfare of the people.
“We must accept the election results as part of the consequences of choosing a democratic system. Thus, the election of Prabowo and Gibran is not only a victory for them but also a victory for the Indonesian nation.” “Because a peaceful and orderly election is part of our maturity in democracy,” said Mu’ti.
