As a Center for Creativity, Various Papuan Leaders Support the Inauguration of the PYCH Building
Papuan leaders fully support the construction of the PYCH Building as a center for developing the creativity of young Papuans, where the building is planned to be inaugurated by President Joko Widodo on March 21, 2023.
The PYCH building was initiated by the Head of BIN, General Pol (Purn) Prof. Budi Gunawan, SH, MSi together with President Ir. H. Joko Widodo to accommodate people’s creativity. Now, its existence is also enthusiastically welcomed by the youth and people of Papua.
Later this building will be used and utilized by PMI in carrying out its work programs for the welfare of the people in Papua and West Papua. PMI will collaborate and become the driving force for the development of young Human Resources (HR) on the Cendrawasih Earth.
A PMI member, Maria Fransiska, who is also a laying hen breeder, admitted that her business can earn dozens to tens of millions of Rupiah per month thanks to PYCH. He admitted that he has been involved in laying hen farms since 2020, starting with 1,000 chickens.
“In 2020, I got the motivation to make a laying hen farm from my late father with an initial number of 1,000 chickens,” he said.
Maria explained that her laying hen business was successful because PMI and BIN helped her to develop her laying hen business, which currently has 4,000 laying hens.
“In 2022, I will meet with PMI and share experiences and knowledge with existing friends. Until now, we have 4,000 laying hens under the guidance of PMI and BIN,” he said.
He also invited all Papuan youths to be able to continue to be creative and innovate that are able to compete to improve prosperity in the land of Papua.
“Let’s all get up and we have to be young people who are innovative and also synergize together in developing the potentials that exist in Papua,” said Maria.
On the other hand, Religious Figure Pastor Albert Yoku said, Papuan youth is one of the forces to build the welfare of the Papuan people. For this reason, it is hoped that with the existence of PYCH new talents from Papua will emerge.
“With PYCH, I hope that all forms of talent development, talent and innovation will continue to be carried out by those who handle PYCH,” he said.
Albert really appreciates the presence of PYCH because it facilitates Papuan children to be able to take advantage of Natural Resources (SDA) in the land of Papua and make Papua a developed area.
“They should return to their respective places and develop themselves into entrepreneurs to manage existing natural resources. I really appreciate the presence of this PYCH.” he concluded.
Besides that, Member of the Papuan People’s Assembly (MRP), Dorince Mehue advised that every party always love the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia.
“I see dynamics and phenomena that are contrary to the state or the 4 pillars of nationality where we must maintain our ideology as Pancasila, the Constitution, and must build our love for the Indonesian nation and maintain Bhinneka Tunggal Ika,” he concluded.
