Games or sports competitions are one way to unite the Indonesian people. So far, our society likes to watch football matches and various other competitions at certain events. One of the events awaited by all Indonesian citizens is of course the XX National Sports Week (PON) which will be held in October 2021 in Papua and West Papua.
In its history, the PON event is a leap for the nation’s children from various regions to show their achievements for the country to be able to speak in the international arena and to be able to bring red and white to the highest podium.
The people of Papua and the people of Indonesia are very supportive of this grand event. Not only residents in Bumi Cendrawasih who can’t wait for him, but all Indonesian people, even netizens around the world are also looking forward to PON XX even though they watch the match via streaming.
The belief in Papua’s readiness to make the implementation of the XX PON 2021 in Papua is absolutely useful to carve Indonesia’s achievements, especially in the contested branches.
Most of the venues in the XX PON implementation plan are new buildings such as the Papua Bangkit Stadium in Jayapura Regency and the Mimika Sport Complex in Timika which have just been completed. This proves that Papua is ready to host the XX PON in 2021.
Papua’s loyalty to the Unitary Republic of Indonesia is beyond doubt. In order to show that Papua is Indonesia, this region generates high enthusiasm to hold this 4-yearly routine event.
Therefore, let us support the success of PON XX in 2021 in Papua by building positive narratives in various public media spaces that can foster optimism and solidity in order to jointly build national pride.
Together with citizens and the community are ready to work together to succeed the XX PON 2021 in Papua for the progress and unity of the nation, advanced Papua, Indonesia is great!
