The XX National Sports Week or PON XX which will be held in Papua this year is the largest national sporting event to be held from 2-15 October 2021 and the main location for the event is at the Lukas Enembe Stadium . This is a matter of pride for the people of Papua, because PON XX is an important event in the national arena.
We all know that this activity has been postponed for a year because the number of Covid-19 cases is still quite high in Indonesia and this will certainly have a bad impact if the government and its people do not focus on handling Covid-19. This year, the government is optimizing efforts so that XX PON can still be held with various protections from the Corona Virus, one of which is by vaccinating all athletes and other supporting participants.
Along with him the implementation of the National Sports Week (PON) XX in October, the government and all stakeholders continue to work to prepare for PON XX in Papua. This sporting event is believed to be able to harmonize Indonesia’s capabilities in the national arena, as well as a place to show the abilities of athletes and show that Indonesia is not inferior to international athletes.
Meanwhile, with a lot of diversity in Indonesia, PON XX Papua is able to strengthen the diversity and integrity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia, because its implementation involves many parties throughout Indonesia. Not only that, support from every race, nation, ethnicity and so on is also very well formed in this activity. Moreover, the government also emphasizes security and comfort in the regions in supporting the implementation of XX PON. Therefore, the active role of the community is needed to keep the situation conducive.
The support of a number of parties continues to flow so that PON XX can be carried out and run well. The public also continues to spread positive content on social media related to PON XX with a sense of nationalism because the implementation of PON XX can unite the Indonesian nation. The amount of support from a number of parties related to the implementation of PON XX in Papua in the future, it is hoped that all parties and the community can contribute to the sustainability of PON XX.
