The government continues to expand the coverage of Covid-19 vaccinations. The goal is that all Indonesian citizens, even in remote areas, have the right to be vaccinated against the corona virus.

Have you been vaccinated? Since the beginning of 2021, vaccination is a program that is taken very seriously. First, the injection is free so that it does not burden the people. Second, the vaccine is halal by MUI and has passed the BPOM test. So there is no reason to refuse vaccination. Moreover, at this time to enter the Mall and several other public places must show proof of having been vaccinated.

The government will expand vaccination coverage to reach all of Indonesia. Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin stated that vaccination coverage reached 35% of the total target population in Indonesia. In a sense, one third of the population has been vaccinated. However, national vaccination continues to be accelerated because the target by March 2022 is 100% of the population has been vaccinated.

Minister Budi continued, in a week there have been 10 million vaccine injections, so that it exceeds the target, because the initial target was 1 million vaccinations per day. To increase this number, mass vaccinations and door-to-door vaccinations are carried out, so that more people get injections and are free of corona.

The Ministry of Health is targeting at least 20% of the vaccination rate in 1 area, and only 2 provinces have not yet achieved it, namely Lampung and West Sumatra. To accelerate the rate of vaccination, the distribution of vaccines will be accelerated and carefully regulated, so that each province in Indonesia gets a ration of vaccine and its citizens do not wait too long for an injection.

There is indeed a gap between the first and second vaccinations, usually 2 weeks. When the second vaccination interval is more than 2 weeks, people are nervous, do they still get the vaccine? But they don’t have to worry because the distribution of vaccines continues to be done evenly throughout Indonesia. So that people immediately get their right to be vaccinated against corona.

Vaccine distribution is indeed very important to expand vaccination coverage, so that it doesn’t just pile up in DKI Jakarta. To expedite distribution, the TNI is also assisted, because their duty is not only to protect the state, but also to protect the community, including helping citizens with vaccinations. Distribution will run smoothly and people in Wamena or Gorontalo, which are far from Jakarta, can also be vaccinated.

Large containers containing vaccines were sent to all provinces in Indonesia, so that all citizens were injected with the corona vaccine, from Sabang to Merauke. In addition to expanding vaccination coverage, this is a way to implement Pancasila, namely the precepts of social justice for all Indonesian people. All people must get their right to be healthy and free from corona.

President Jokowi requested that each provincial capital have 70% of its citizens who have been vaccinated. However, out of 34 provincial capitals, only 7 cities have reached this figure. This is a homework for the Ministry of Health to accelerate vaccination in these areas, so that more and more Indonesian people have been injected with the corona vaccine and get good immunity.

Equity must be done so that all people have been vaccinated up to 2 times. Moreover, according to data from the COVID-19 task force team, there has been an increase in corona cases outside Java. Don’t let the vaccination center only in Java and other areas be neglected.

The government is boosting the national vaccination program so that it is evenly distributed to all regions in Indonesia. The scope of vaccination is increasingly being expanded, so that all Indonesian citizens have been injected and get good immunity. Vaccine distribution must be properly regulated to comply with the principle of fairness.
