Head of PB ESI Budi Gunawan: Indonesian Esports Able to Achieve World Achievements

Chairman of the Indonesian Esports Council (PB ESI), Budi Gunawan, received an award from the Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora RI) on the 2022 National Sports Day (Haornas).

He admitted that the award he received was intended for the entire Esport ecosystem in Indonesia.

“The sports award that I received from the Ministry of Youth and Sport is a tribute to the entire Indonesian esports ecosystem, from athletes, coaches, schools, professional teams, game development, to industry players,” said the Chairman of PB ESI.

Furthermore, Budi Gunawan said that the mission of making Indonesia the leader of esports in Asia and achieving world achievements is not impossible to achieve.

To note, currently Indonesia is hosting the esports world championship titled Bali 14th Esports Worlds Championships 2022. This is an achievement and achievement for national sports people, especially for the Indonesian esports world.

The event, which will be held on 2 – 11 December 2022, is part of a series of events for the Indonesia Esports Summit: 14th World Esports Championships 2022. Without hesitation, this event will be the largest outdoor esports activity in the world.

Meanwhile, the Executive Chairman of the Indonesian Esports Council (PBESI), Bambang Sunarwibowo, revealed that the PB ESI Chairman, Budi Gunawan, gave a message and encouragement to the athletes who are currently competing at the IESF Bali 14th World Esports Championships 2022.

On another occasion, Deputy Head of PB ESI Athlete & Achievement, Yohannes P Siagian also conveyed directions from the General Chairperson of PB ESI that Indonesia is very optimistic and confident to be the overall champion in this event

In fact, PB ESI has really done a lot of preparatory training for Esports athletes, not only in technical training.
