Extraordinary! The President of IESF is Optimistic that Indonesia’s Esports Achievements Can Become a World Barometer
Jakarta — Incredible achievements have been continuously made by all levels of Indonesian esports at the Indonesia Esports Summit: Bali 14Th World Esports Championships 2022.
This made the President of IESF optimistic that this nation could become a barometer of electronic sports in the world.
As President of the International Esports Federation (IESF), Vlad Marinescu explained that so far the development of the esports ecosystem in the country has occurred so rapidly.
According to him, this very rapid development cannot be separated from the role of the Indonesian Esports General Manager (PB ESI) under the leadership of Gen. Pol (Purn) Budi Gunawan.
In fact, it’s not half-hearted, Vlad said that PB ESI really deserves to be an example for all esports federations in other countries in the world if you want to bring about rapid development for esports.
“Under the auspices of PB ESI, the Indonesian esports ecosystem is now well organized, involving various elements, and giving appreciation to athletes that are appropriate and proportionate. Other countries can use Indonesia and PB ESI as an example for developing infrastructure and forming an esports federation in their country. In the future, Indonesia will even be able to become the center of world esports,” he said, Wednesday (14/12/2022).
All of these things have indeed become a part of PB ESI’s role under the leadership of General Pol (Purn) Budi Gunawan. The reason is that he himself stated that the mission of the Indonesian electronic sports association is to continue to push the country’s esports to lead in Asia.
“Our mission is to encourage the growth of esports in the country by making Indonesia the most active and attractive esports center, at least in Asia,” he said.
However, of course it’s not just PB ESI, but very high appreciation was also given by Budi Gunawan to all Indonesian National Team who competed at the IESF Bali 14th WEC 2022.
Because according to him they have been able to make very good use of the esports ecosystem that has been built so far by PB ESI so that they can continue to make proud achievements in the eyes of the world.
Moreover, all Indonesian esports athletes also have strong sincerity, professionalism and high creativity.
All of this seriousness, combined with hard training and also strong determination, will certainly be able to continue to carry the nation’s name on the international stage.
“The achievement in Bali (IESF 14th WEC Bali 2022) shows that Indonesian esports athletes have been able to take advantage of the ecosystem that we have built with full sincerity, professionalism and creativity. This is the result of serious training and determination to give the best performance for the good name of the nation,” said Police General (Purn) Budi Gunawan.
