MANADO — Deputy Chancellor I for Academic Affairs at Sam Ratulangi University (Unsrat) Manado, Prof. Dr. Ir. Grevo Soleman Gerung gave his full support for the realization of the Nusantara Student Dormitory (AMN), especially in Manado, North Sulawesi Province.

“Under the direction and instructions of the Ministry of Education and Culture, Unsrat Manado provides full support and support for the development of AMN Manado,” he said.

Not only that, Unsrat has also prepared a lecture program in the form of an independent campus through the use of 58 hectares of land. Later, tens of hectares of land will be used by AMN program students to develop agriculture, animal husbandry, fisheries and various other things.

Meanwhile, the Special Staff (Stafsus) of the Chairman of the Steering Committee of the Pancasila Ideology Development Agency (BPIP), Antonius Benny Susetyo or Romo Benny, assessed that AMN is very suitable as a place for the cadre formation of the nation’s future leaders.

The reason is that the dormitory building does not only contain students from one group.

“The construction of AMN Manado is ideal, because it will not only be filled by students from Manado, but also other regions in Indonesia,” said Father Benny.

According to him, AMN is one of the programs that RI really needs to be able to produce superior generations in an inclusive manner.

“If you want to build a diverse Indonesia, collaboration through inclusive education like this is really needed, so that the quality of human resources with character also increases,” he concluded.

Indeed, AMN as one of the government programs in the era of President Joko Widodo’s leadership aims to facilitate all students so that they can get full scholarships.

The Head of State stated that the development of AMN aims to enable young people to recognize each other’s differences.

“The construction of the Nusantara Student Dormitory is for us to get to know each other. “Students from Papua know those from Aceh in this dormitory,” he said.

The President also hopes that in the future the young generation who are members of the AMN program can continue to unite to develop the country.

“Likewise with students from other areas. “The aim is to be harmonious and united because in the dormitories we are given a national perspective,” concluded the President.
