Aceh – President Joko Widodo is scheduled to inaugurate the Aneuk Muda Aceh Unggul Hebat (Amanah) Building. Ahead of the event, various preparations have been made, including intensive training for the dancers who will present a colossal performance during the inauguration.
Dance training for the opening ceremony has been going on for six days, starting with the audition process to the final preparations. One of the dance trainers, Melissa Franklien Regina, revealed that this preparation involved collaboration between national and local trainers. “The training for the opening ceremony has been going on for six days, starting from the audition process until now,” she said in a written statement on Wednesday (4/9).
Melissa also added that this collaboration not only brings together trainers from outside, but also involves local dancers, including those from Acehnese art studios. One of the main performances that will be performed is the Rapai Geleng dance, which depicts the richness of Acehnese culture. “We are very proud to be able to work with local trainers and young people from Aceh,” she added.
The inauguration of the Amanah Building not only highlights traditional Acehnese elements, but also combines modern elements. The colossal art performance that will be presented combines music, dance, and various other art forms, reflecting the fusion of traditional Acehnese culture with a contemporary touch.
The Amanah Building itself is part of President Joko Widodo’s program managed by the State Intelligence Agency (BIN). This program aims to provide space for the young generation of Aceh to channel their creativity and potential. The inauguration of this building is expected to be a symbol of progress and empowerment of young people in Aceh, as well as strengthening the position of Acehnese arts and culture on the national stage.
