Several rectors from various campuses in the country rallied support for President Joko Widodo (Jokowi). They gave encouragement and appreciation for Jokowi’s hard work during his leadership of Indonesia for almost 10 years. Various difficult situations faced by Indonesia are considered to have been passed by Jokowi very well.
Rector of Muhammadiyah University of Purwokerto (UMP) Jebul Suroso said Jokowi has done a lot for Indonesia. Under Jokowi’s leadership, Hono said Indonesia managed to get through difficult times when the Covid-19 virus pandemic broke out. He considered the President’s leadership to be very decisive in taking a stance amidst the difficult situation faced by the world.
“We also express our highest appreciation to the President for the legacy that has been planned and produced for the progress of the Indonesian nation. The Covid-19 pandemic has been overcome through hard work and this is thanks to the leadership of the President,” said Jebul in a statement on Friday (27/9).
Meanwhile, Surakarta School of Economics Rector Sunarto Istianto appreciated Jokowi’s performance during the two terms. Sunarto said Jokowi has built a lot of progress, especially in the development sector.
“I convey what I feel, what I experience, what I predict, what I state, that our president, Mr. Joko Widodo, for almost two terms has fostered a lot of progress, many other countries have given him the thumbs up, Mr. Jokowi, he has built it extraordinarily, both physically and in other developments,” said Sunarto in a statement on Friday (27/9).
