Maintain a Conducive Situation Ahead of the Inauguration of the Elected President and Vice President Prabowo Gibran

Ahead of the inauguration of President-elect Prabowo Subianto and Vice President-elect Gibran Rakabuming Raka on October 20 2024, various parties must continue to strive to keep the situation conducive.
National stability is the main priority in welcoming the transition period of government from Indonesian President Joko Widodo and Vice President Maruf Amin to the next figure as the leader of this nation.
Various efforts have been made by the government, including the security forces from the TNI, Polri and BIN as well as all elements of society with the aim of creating safe and peaceful conditions ahead of this historic moment.
The seventh President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, instructed the security forces of the TNI, Polri and BIN to actively maintain the stability of the country’s security. Their role is very vital in facing the upcoming inauguration, considering that the government transition period is often a crucial point in national politics.
The Head of State emphasized the importance of high vigilance, especially regarding potential disturbances that could arise from various parties who seek to destroy the atmosphere. With the presence of security forces as the front guard, it is hoped that national stability will be well maintained until the inauguration takes place.
Apart from the security side, the Chairman of the Indonesian People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR) for the 2019-2024 period, Bambang Soesatyo, invited all elements of society to participate in maintaining calm.
The public is expected to provide space for the new government under the leadership of President Elect Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Elect Gibran Rakabuming Raka in carrying out their government duties.
By maintaining a conducive political situation, the transition of power process can run smoothly and provide opportunities for new leaders to focus on preparing and implementing strategic programs.
This includes the continuation of the programs that have been implemented by President Jokowi and Vice President Maruf Amin, where various policies oriented towards national development will continue.
Regarding the planned demonstration on September 19 2024, many parties have voiced their opposition to the demonstration. In the situation leading up to the inauguration, actions that have the potential to disrupt public order are considered unproductive and can create instability in the midst of the ongoing political transition process.
Therefore, it is important for the entire community to maintain a peaceful atmosphere and refrain from activities that have the potential to trigger conflict. The current focus must be directed at supporting the new government that will soon be installed, as well as at continuing national development.
Furthermore, the National Police, through the 2024 Presidential and Vice Presidential Candidate Security Task Force, ensures that security for President-elect Prabowo Subianto and Vice President-elect Gibran Rakabuming Raka will continue until the day of the inauguration.
The National Police emphasized the importance of anticipating all forms of threats that might arise during the transition period. The National Police is also ready to coordinate with all stakeholders, from the TNI to BIN and other security forces, to ensure that the entire inauguration process runs safely and smoothly. With strict supervision, it is hoped that the potential for security disturbances can be minimized, including facing the threat of demonstrations that are not in accordance with the spirit of democracy.
In this context, efforts to maintain stability do not only lie with the TNI, Polri and BIN, but also require the active role of the entire community. Citizens are expected to play a role in creating a peaceful atmosphere and avoid actions that could trigger conflict.
One of the most effective ways is to prioritize constructive dialogue and avoid provocation, especially in public spaces and social media. In the midst of a political atmosphere that can become heated, it is important to continue to place the interests of the country above personal or group interests.
As the inauguration approaches, the figure of the General Chair of the Gerindra Party DPP, who is also the elected presidential candidate, is expected to be able to provide guarantees of stability and certainty for the Indonesian people.
Prabowo Subianto’s performance so far as Minister of Defense of the Republic of Indonesia and his involvement in state security affairs shows that the man born in 1951 has the ability to maintain the integrity of the nation.
It is hoped that his collaboration with Vice President Elect Gibran Rakabuming Raka, a young leader with a modern vision, will be able to lead Indonesia towards a better and more advanced future.
The success of this transition will also be a benchmark for the nation’s ability to maintain unity and integrity amidst political change. The inauguration of the Prabowo-Gibran government is not only a symbol of leadership change, but also an opportunity to show Indonesia’s political maturity. The public is expected to maintain calm, obey the law, and support security forces in creating a conducive atmosphere.
On a national scale, efforts to maintain stability are also important to attract international trust in Indonesia as a stable and peaceful democratic country. A peaceful and orderly government transition will improve Indonesia’s reputation in the eyes of the world. This is important, especially in the regional and global geopolitical context, where Indonesia has a significant strategic role.
The successful inauguration of the Elected President and Vice President in the 2024 Election, Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka, will be the first step for a new era of government that is full of hope.
It is hoped that the strategic programs they will implement will continue the development initiated by President Jokowi and Vice President Maruf Amin, while presenting new innovations that are fresher and in line with the needs of the times.
Thus, a conducive situation ahead of the inauguration of the President-elect and Vice-President-elect must continue to be maintained by all parties, from the community, government, to security forces.
