Lamandau, Kalimantan Tengah – Lamandau is one district in Central Borneo. Lamandau has large area. Lamandau also has unique geographic area. Lamandau is known as Bumi Bahaum Bakuba.
Lamadau has been decided as centre of research and developing of Gaharu commodity since 2012 ago. It made Lamandau as destination place for learn about Gaharu. Such staff of Regional House of People’s Representatives (DPRD) Donggala, Central Sulawesi, they visited Lamandau for learning about Gaharu.
Like quote in Borneo News, Tuesday (3/3), vice of DPRD Donggala, Andi Sofyan Yotolembah, said that they came to Lamandau for learning about Gaharu.
“Before we make a plan it about Gaharu program, the minister has recommended Lamandau regency for learning Gaharu which developing Gaharu in this regency has been full back-up by Regional Government,” said Him.
Andi also stated that commodity of Donggala is chocolate, clove and nutmeg. But now, some of citizen of Donggala started to plant Gaharu. According to him, it was because the Gaharu potential and economic value is very great. Besides that he state, the geographic condition and temperature of Donggala is same to Lamandau.
In this opportunity, Assistant II, economic sector, regional secretariat (Sekda) of Lamandau, Mahruni guide them to see the Gaharu seed certified, People’s Gaharu garden which has been injected and ready for cultivation, they also learn to inject Gaharu in Regency’s garden, Marukan.
