The 212 Alumni Brotherhood Group (PA), the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI), and several other groups will hold demonstrations on 21 February 2020 at the KPK . The demonstration was allegedly a way to look for sensations in the community. Because the group does not have a track record in the Anti Rasuah case.

FPI is again looking for a sensation to continue to be in the news . The reason is, they plan to hold a demonstration regarding corruption on 21 February. Many people who look cynical and pout their behavior. There is also a rate that FPI just wants to find a stage related to this.

This irregularity was felt when the issue of weakening corruption emerged through the revision of the KPK Law last year, in which students, as well as other civil organizations had opposed it, but the FPI had just emerged and wanted to fly its struggle. If people say, the others have arrived, they just want to start. Doesn’t this look a little funny.

Identical groups that talk about power politics suddenly suddenly enter the anti-corruption issue. They carry the banner entitled “212 eradicate Mega Corruption, Save the Republic of Indonesia”.

In their official statement, they stated that corruption cases were considered “increasingly crazy” and the severity of “law enforcement officials has not shown a serious attitude in resolving them.” They then suspected that this had happened because “involved a central circle of power” in the context of “perpetuating power.”

Previously, Muhammad Isnur, Chairperson of the Advocacy Division of the Indonesian Legal Aid Foundation (YLBHI), an organization that is keen to voice corruption eradication, admitted that he was surprised at the demonstration action plan to be held by FPI.

Not without reason, Isnur believes so. According to him, the organization that pushed for the conviction of former Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama for this blasphemy case never gave any response when the interfaith commission was completely overhauled through the revision of the KPK Law and the selection of commissioners who were in trouble.

According to Isnur, the public was very fit to suspect that this demonstration was only a political maneuver. He said, if the community might also ask questions, given that the FPI ignored the issues of corruption.

Isnur later said that at this time many groups had suddenly expressed support for the KPK, but on the other hand they also had inexhaustible attacks on those who had a pro-corruption eradication track record. He also said that his colleagues in the anti-corruption movement were constantly attacked.

Meanwhile, the demonstration action plan was signed by the Chairman of the GNPF-Ulama Yusuf Muhammad Martak, Chair of PA 212 Slamet Ma’arif, along with FPI Chair Ahmad Shobri Lubis.

There are at least 4 cases of corruption that they will carry. Namely, allegations of bribery involving KPU Commissioner Wahyu Setiawan and PDIP politician Harun Masiku, then the Jiwasraya, Asabri case, and the alleged corruption that has involved PT Trans Pacific Petrochemical Indopharma Director Honggo Wendratno who is currently at large.

This group urges law enforcement to immediately resolve the case quickly, transparently, and also accountably.

The Chair of Media Center PA 212 Novel Bamukmin acknowledged that there was a weakening of the KPK in the last weeks of the first period of President Joko Widodo’s administration. The novel argued that the group ignored it because someone had already taken to the streets. He even claimed, by entrusting it to the people represented by mass organizations and students.

On the other hand, Acting KPK Spokesman Ali Fikri did not provide much comment on this plan. The man who is allegedly active as the prosecutor stated that the KPK continued to work in handling the case in question, including hunting for fugitive Harun Masiku.

Ali stressed that if the KPK did not work on demand, it was a public report. If there are reports, the new commission will follow up with the review until the investigation. If later evidence is found which is considered sufficient, then the case will only be escalated to an investigation. According to him, all returned to legal issues, not requested by anyone.

Responding to this, the question again includes. Could this they want to moncer back and make their own stage. In addition, there will soon be a regional head election, right. They might want to attract sympathy as before. Again looking for sympathizers, political parties or candidates who want to be championed drove to the seat of government. However, whatever it is, it seems that FPI’s efforts are somewhat ridiculous. Especially when referring to the comments of the Bamukmin Novel which argued that if they were ignorant because someone had taken to the streets. Pretty cliche reason!
