Collaboration of Community Elements is the Key to Success in Countering Radicalism

Radicalism must be eradicated in Indonesia because it can divide unity. To prevent the spread of this understanding, there must be collaboration between elements of society so that the eradication of radicalism can run optimally.
Have you ever imagined that Indonesia is like other countries whose government is run by radical and terrorist groups? They do whatever they want and often impose authority and lead to violence. Don’t let this happen in this country because it is like a nightmare come true.
To counteract radicalism in Indonesia, there must be collaboration from elements of society. There should be no omission but must pay attention to the surrounding environment and do not hesitate to report to the authorities, if there are oddities that lead to suspicions of terrorism and radicalism activities. This was stated by the Deputy Governor of the Riau Islands Isdianto.
Isdianto continued, the position of the Riau Islands which is flanked by several other countries (such as Singapore) makes it vulnerable to the entry of radicalism. Don’t let this understanding be carried away easily by immigrants and eventually affect the people in Riau and its surroundings. Therefore, all elements of society must work together to counter radicalism at the entrance of Indonesia, and do not hesitate to report.
In a sense, the community must work together to crush radicalism. The reason is because they are Indonesian citizens who are obliged to defend the country so that preventing the spread of radicalism is the same as defending Indonesia. Reporting to the authorities does not mean that we are paranoid and afraid of radical groups, but rather a way to prevent the spread of radicalism in Indonesia.
If there is a newcomer who usually wears black clothes and always promotes the caliphate state and the beauty of jihad, it is certain that he belongs to a radical group. Don’t hesitate to report it because your actions could save many people, because radicalism and terrorism can lead to attacks with bombs or firearms.
In addition to reporting if there are suspicious activities that can be carried out by radical groups, they can also operate on social media and WA groups. Therefore the eradication of radicalism is also carried out not only in the real world but also in cyberspace.
The public can create anti-radical content and explain that the jihad promoted by radical groups is wrong. The reason is because jihad does not mean attacking other people who are considered enemies, because they have been included in criminal acts. The real jihad is holding back emotions and passions and working hard to earn a halal living for the family.
In addition, the public can also explain in their social media accounts that a caliphate state that is glorified by radical groups cannot possibly exist in Indonesia. The reason is because the concept is not in accordance with the conditions of society in this country which is pluralistic. We can’t force him to become a caliph because it is only suitable for a monarchy, not a democracy.
Cooperation between all elements of society must be carried out because the government and the anti-terror Detachment 88 cannot act alone, but need help from the people. They can be very meritorious because they report the symptoms of radicalism in society. Or immediately call the authorities when you see someone placing a bomb via CCTV.
With collaboration between all elements of society with security forces and the government, we are optimistic that radicalism can be eliminated from Indonesia. The reason is because they have no supporters at all. The public can greatly assist the performance of Densus 88 in anti-terror by caring for the surrounding environment and reporting when a group is suspected of being radical or terrorist.
