Radicalism is still a scourge to watch out for. The public and the government are also asked to be consistent and firm in rejecting the anti-Pancasila ideology because it is able to create national disharmony.
Radicalism is synonymous with hard-line action, extreme, blindly. Which usually triggers the culprit to become terrorism. Both of them seem inseparable like they are related to each other. For ordinary people, this kind of thing is not so obvious. Given, they are active like the community at large.
Just look normal. There are no special characteristics that can indicate that certain people or groups are in the radical group. However, their movement system is considered quite neat. Gently through their approaches, they recruited hundreds or even thousands of people to enter into the dark circle of the influence of radicalism.
Victims of the danger of radicalism are also increasingly widespread. Indiscriminately, want children, students, the general public, students, mass organizations, political elites to the security forces can be exposed. In fact, the security forces are the spearhead against the understanding and acts of radicalism. This proves that there is no guarantee that someone will avoid this danger. Except, a person with a strong stand based on 4 national pillars. Namely, Pancasila, the 1945 Constitution, the Republic of Indonesia, and Unity in Diversity. Looks trivial indeed, but in fact effective to ward off attacks that increasingly intense radicalism attacks. So that the government continues to appeal to all citizens to continue to fortify themselves from radicalism.
According to the Minister of Religion (Menag) Fachrul Razi, said that radicalism does not only exist in the teachings of Islam. Radicalism also has the potential to exist in all religious teachings. He stated according to Jokowi’s direction, that this radicalism could come from any religion, any institution. He said he would be aware of radicalism in various sectors. In fact, President Jokowi also ordered all ministries to prevent the spread of radicalism.
In addition, Fachrul wants all figures including religious leaders to work together. join hands to make Indonesia safer and more peaceful. Moreover, regarding religious tolerance which is often the trigger. So the increase in tolerance should be maximized.
On the other hand, Fachrul Razi also held coordination meetings with the ranks of the Ministry of Religion in a number of regions. He asked his staff to carry out President Jokowi’s orders regarding radicalism. Fachrul claims to provide ideas – ideas which will then be developed together. A number of chancellors and leaders of institutions, such as the Hajj hostel officials and also training and education, also attended. He also alluded to some of Jokowi’s mandates at the meeting. One of them is the focus in achieving goals, with regard to combating radicalism. The process of deradicalization will not only be carried out by the Ministry of Religion, but also other institutions.
This de-radicalization action refers to counterterrorism preventive measures or a kind of stratregi in order to neutralize understandings that are considered radical and can be dangerous by approaching without being accompanied by violence.
The aim is to neutralize radicalism actors back to a more moderate and normal way of thinking. It is undeniable that radicalism and terrorism have become quite serious polemics for the international world. Because, at any time will endanger the stability of national security. In other words, this de-radicalization is to persuade the perpetrators to give up their understanding.
According to the Counter Terrorism Implementation Task Force (CTITF) which is a policy by providing packages in the form of social, political, legal, economic and educational assistance aimed specifically at prisoners of terrorism. This can be called an action that uses soft power.
It is hoped that this effort will be able to make victims aware that their understanding is wrong. Even with others who have not been exposed, must be able to fortify themselves strongly with all the possibilities that exist. Radicalism is considered capable of destroying a country’s order system, as well as changing it as desired by radical groups.
This danger is like a virus and is ready to infect anyone who comes in contact with it. Therefore, it strengthens one’s own faith and actively invites the entire community to always be vigilant, so that its spread will be suppressed and destroyed. Because, we don’t just rely on others to protect ourselves. The key is to unite against, reject and fight radicalism firmly! So that there is no gap for anyone to infiltrate and destroy the integrity of the nation and state.
