For IMF-WB 2018, Bali’s crucial infrastructure investment reaches Rp 277 billion
CIDISS. Efforts to optimize crucial infrastructure development in Bali is one of the efforts to succeed the 2018 World Bank Annual Meetings International Monetary Fund (IMF-WB AM 2018) or the 2018 Annual Meeting of the International Monetary Fund and World Bank which will be held in Bali next October.
The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) continues to accelerate the acceleration of crucial connectivity infrastructure development in Bali. This is in order to succeed the 2018 World Bank Annual Meetings International Monetary Fund (IMF-WB AM 2018) or the International Monetary Fund Annual Meeting and the World Bank take place in November next year.
PUPR Minister, Basuki Hadimuljono said, one of the crucial projects accelerated completion of the schedule was the Ngurah Rai Airport underpass road. He explained, currently the progress was smooth in controlling the Ministry of PUPR. Basuki hopes, next year the underpass is targeted for completion in September, but is expected to accelerate so that it is completed in July or August with quality that remains guaranteed to be world class.
Basuki who was accompanied by the Head of the Regional Infrastructure Development Agency (BPIW) of the PUPR Ministry, Rido Matari Ichwan and the Director General of Highways of the Ministry of PUPR, Arie Setiadi Moerwanto revealed, in addition to the underpasses, there were three other infrastructure project activities under construction, namely widening the road in Jimbaran-Uluwatu, the road in Klungkung-Panalokan and the arbitration boundary of the city of Singaraja to Bitani.
According to Basuki, the budget prepared for the four crucial infrastructure project packages in Bali was Rp. 277 billion. The underpass project has the highest value. The total for Bali is IDR 277 billion divided into four activities. The Underpass itself is Rp 209 billion.
The meeting, which was led by the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs, Luhut B. Panjaitan, was also attended by the Minister of Tourism, Arief Yahya, representatives from a number of ministries and representatives from the Provincial Government of Bali.
Luhut B. Panjaitan appreciated the ranks of the Ministry of PUPR who are ready to accelerate development in the success of IMF-WB AM 2018. He hopes, a few months before the implementation of IMF-WB AM 2018 the infrastructure work of PUPR has been completed, so that when the implementation can be used properly.
For information, the IMF-WB AM 2018 will be held in Bali in November. IMF-WB AM 2018 is an annual meeting to discuss global economic and financial developments and recommendations of IMF-WB policies going forward. The event was attended by the Governor of the Central Bank and the Minister of Finance from 189 IMF-W8 member countries, LMF-WB leaders and staff, key financial sector actors, academics, CSCs / NGOs, the press and observers, which is estimated to reach more than 15,000 people.
As Indonesian citizens, we all hope that the implementation of the 2018 IMF-WB will have the full support of all elements of the nation. The reason is, this is closely related to the image of the Indonesian nation in the eyes of the world, especially the world banking leaders and international financial institution officials.
