Hacked Newsweek Twitter Account Tweets Threats at Obama Family
Hackers claiming allegiance to the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria has briefly hacked Newsweek’s Twitter feed. The hackers sent a message, threatening first lady Michelle Obama.
Newsweek quickly regained control of their account over the bogus tweet that says, “Bloody Valentine’s Day #Michelle Obama! We’re watching you, you girls and your husband!” The tweet fuels investigation from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), that considers it as a real threat to the President.
Pro-ISIS hackers also, naming themselves as the the Cyber Caliphate, also hacked several other media accounts. The cyber caliphate inserts a picture of a man with a balaclava as a profile picture and replaces the banner with ISIS flag.
