Job Creation Law Generating MSMEs
By: Raavi Ramadhan) *
The Job Creation Act is like a medicine for MSMEs that are seriously ill, because there are various facilities provided to them. Small and medium-sized business people find licensing and processing facilities free of charge. They can also get halal certificates more quickly but precisely and accurately.
When a pandemic hits Indonesia, entrepreneurs are also affected by the sap. They bite their fingers because people’s purchasing power has dropped dramatically, due to economic difficulties. T erutama small and medium enterprises (SMEs). They are the worst hit because if there are only a few buyers, or even none at all, it will be very difficult to earn income.
The government is trying hard to help them. Not with financial assistance or loans, but with the Job Creation Law. The law is much more valuable than money, because the inauguration of the law is like giving a hook, not a fish. If money can only be spent on part of the capital and the rest on kitchen funds, then the law will have an impact on entrepreneurs for the next decades.
Small and medium entrepreneurs will be revived their enthusiasm for work because there are various facilities in the MSME cluster and the ease of doing business cluster in the Job Creation Law. These facilities include the ease of business licensing, halal certification, etc. So that their business will run smoothly, because they no longer have to deal with tense bureaucracy.
All UMKM entrepreneurs must be grateful for the Job Creation Law. Didik Purwadi, Executive Director of Rumah Inspiratf Indonesia stated that employers should really take advantage of the Job Creation Law. he also invited entrepreneurs to read the law and examine what are the benefits of each of its articles. So that its implementation will have a positive impact on the MSME business.
Didik continued, taking advantage of the Job Creation Law was by approaching investors and BUMNs. Because in this law, MSMEs have the facility to become partners for BUMN. In that sense, they will become regular customers, so that small entrepreneurs can survive and continue their businesses that had collapsed because of the corona.
Meanwhile, investors certainly have the capital to get entrepreneurs to restart production and use it for promotional costs. So that the goods will be sold and they will get profit again. The profit is of course shared with the investor, according to the profit agreement determined from the start.
In addition, employers should not only know about the Job Creation Law but do not know what it contains, its clusters, and its benefits. They only know briefly about this law from the news on television and think that the regulations are almost the same as the old version. In fact, there are many changes that will benefit small and medium entrepreneurs.
This neglectful attitude will only harm MSME entrepreneurs, because changes in regulations will have a huge impact on changing their business. For example, in terms of licensing, it will be made easier because small entrepreneurs only need NIB, without having to have expensive HO permits. The permits also Glory within 7 days and may be taken care se way online , as well as 100% free, so that small businesses will not be difficult.
Apart from licensing, the government also makes halal certification easier. This certificate is also free, so that UMKM entrepreneurs in the culinary and cosmetic fields can directly manage it without fear of the cost. Acquiring certificates is also accelerated. However, even though the halal certificate is fast, it will not reduce the stringency of the procedure, so that the community will feel calm, because the results are accurate.
Many facilities are obtained from the Job Creation Law such as fast and free licensing and halal certification which also accelerates the results. In addition, BUMN is directed to become MSME partners so as to help those who are in trouble when affected by the pandemic. All these conveniences are expected to help UMKM entrepreneurs, so that they can survive in the midst of a pandemic.
