Issue of President Joko Widodo’s father-in-law involved the PKI which was only disseminated when it was about to enter the campaign period of the 2014 Presidential Election and continued to be fried until now. Previously this issue was not heard. During the 2012 DKI Pilgub, this issue was not heard yet. Of course this is a big lie to drop public support for President Jokowi. Actors who spread the issue are of course political opponents, say the stronghold of the Prabowo-Sandi campaign team. Then how exactly is the background of the 7th President of Indonesia?

The President’s parents are just ordinary people from the village. His father was named Widjiatno Notomihardjo from Karanganyar, while his mother Sudjatmi was from Boyolali. The pair Widjiatno and Sudjatmi married in 1959. While Joko Widodo was born two years after they married. Widjiatno Notomihardjo, who had been rumored, was someone who had a high artistic spirit. He is good at playing keroncong and guitar music and often performs on stage shows. In addition to appearing in performances, Pak Jokowi’s parents also often invited young people to play guitar. When holding gatherings in keroncong performances, Widjiatno likes to buy food and drinks for those who watch. He also channeled alms for people who couldn’t. This is also done by Mr. Jokowi at this time.

In terms of employment, Notomihardjo and Sudjatmi work as entrepreneurs. They are in the business of buying and selling wood in Surakarta. They have their own wood processing plant near the house. In essence, Mr. Jokowi’s family is known to be active and diligent in setting up a business, where the perseverance goes down to his children today. Jokowi with his siblings from a young age was very devoted to worship. From the admission of neighbors in Solo, Notomihardjo often went to the mosque and not even became a muezzin at dawn prayer. Mr. Jokowi does have a character that does not like to show his worship activities, because indeed it is a human affair with God, and only Allah has the right to judge it.

In the E. R. Asura book entitled Kyai Abdul Jalal I, the lineage of Jokowi’s ancestors is explained. Jokowi is a descendant of Kiai Yahya, one of Prince Diponegoro’s bodyguards. Kiai Yahya himself was the son of Kiai Abdul Jalal, an ulama who was the founder of a civilian land in the Kalioso area (south of Solo). If this genealogy is pulled up, Jokowi is a descendant of Jaka Tarub (Raden Kidang Telakas). And Jaka Tarub itself is (trusted) the son of Maulana al-Maghribi, one of the early spreaders of Islam in Java.

However, there are two names that deserve the spotlight, namely Jaka Tarub and Maulana al-Maghribi. As is known, Jaka Tarub is the name of one of the legends of the Javanese land. The name is enshrined in the “Babad Tanah Jawi”. According to the “Babad”, Jaka Tarub was a stout young man who married an angel named Nawangwulan. Their marriage gave birth to a daughter named Nawangsih. Later, the name Jaka Tarub is believed to be one of the Mataram dynasty ancestors with the title Ki Ageng Tarub.

Judging from the genealogy, it is appropriate for Jokowi to become President of the Republic of Indonesia, because a leader must have a bloodline from the leader as well. In how to lead it, Jokowi is famous for being calm and relaxed, similar to the ancient leaders of the archipelago. Royal leaders in the archipelago are very inferior figures, they prioritize relations with God before dealing with humans. Look at Raden Wijaya, Jaya Baya, Raden Patah, Jaka Tingkir, Sultan Agung and others, they all don’t feel big and boast, let alone speak ill of others. Because they know the philosophy of life that humans have no right to judge other humans just because of what they see.
