Security of a country is certainly a very important thing, especially as a rich maritime country, in fact it cannot be separated from the conditions of strategic environmental change because it can cause various problems.
Jokowi also stated that the government would continue to improve the capabilities, professionalism and welfare of the TNI-POLRI to support efforts to create security stability. This also includes continuing the modernization of the main weapons systems (defense equipment).
Defense Minister Ryamizard Ryacudu said the commitment and achievements – achievements of the Jokowi government in the field of defense. Some of them are an increase in the budget to supplement the Alutsista so that the minimum basic strength can be achieved, building the welfare and professionalism of TNI soldiers, strengthening border posts in Kalimantan, Papua and East Nusa Tenggara.
Even the Kalimantan border is equipped with chips to be monitored if there is a shift. This achievement cannot be separated from Jokowi’s strong commitment to state defense and security. The commitment can be seen from retired TNI, including General (Ret.) Moeldoko who was elected as the Presidential Chief of Staff.
On another occasion, President Jokowi also continued to guarantee security stability. However, Jokowi also invited all elements of the nation to get involved in creating a conducive security situation.
In addition, the former Mayor of Solo hopes for the participation of the community in preventing and fighting terrorism. According to him, the involvement of the community in the prevention and eradication of terrorism is important to maintain the stability of state security.
Jokowi also said that his party would support the role of clerics, community leaders, educators, religious organizations, community organizations and families to prevent exposure to radical teachings to the younger generation.
It also hopes that all elements of the nation will support the synergy of the Police, TNI, National Intelligence Agency (BIN), National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT) and other elements of the nation in preventing and fighting terrorism.
“We must firmly guard the NKRI, strengthen the Ikrar Bhineka Tunggal Ika, prevent and eradicate terrorism to its roots,” said Jokowi. When there was a shootout in Nduga Papua, Jokowi immediately ordered the TNI to carry out security at certain points. The TNI troops were deployed to the Nduga region, in addition to securing the area and guarding the process of building the Trans Papua Road.
When deployed it does not mean that the TNI forces fully control the territory of Nduga. The TNI troops were deployed to several points between the districts. This kind of security is considered a measurable security approach, based on the results of the study, analysis with various perspectives.
This security approach was different from the government carried out by the New Order regime. Where at that time military operations could be carried out without careful calculations and did not calculate the impact that would later be felt by civil society.
So that at that time there was widespread news such as the kidnapping of activists who until now still left thousands of questions.
Security stability is certainly an important thing for development in Indonesia. Of course it is impossible for investors to come to countries with unstable security.
In this case, a cross-sectoral role is needed to realize national stability and security. Pancasila morals must be echoed, intolerant attitudes must also be destroyed.
Don’t let the Pancasila value be torn apart just because some groups want khilafah to replace democracy in Indonesia. In the lead up to the democratic party, conservative Islamic organizations began to show political nuances, dogmas were increasingly blown by the various movements in the name of religion.
The group sometimes spreads slander and utterances of hatred in the mosque by lecturing or spreading tabloids containing content that is minimal in substance and tends to be radical.
As a plural / diverse nation, Indonesia has been united by Unity in Diversity, not by one religion. In this case, of course, Pancasila must return to being a philosophical philosophy, philosophy and outlook on the nation as envisioned by Ir Soekarno.
Radicalism develops due to justification without recognizing the existence of other religions. Radical groups claim their true religion and group. Awareness of religious pluralism certainly needs to be developed, so as not to create divisions or riots.
The role of Pancasila is very much needed where the mindset of religious people cannot see things with their religious perspective, but also must go through a national perspective, which means that they must understand the values in Pancasila.
