Lambar District Government Holds Socialization against Radicalism, Terrorism, Communism, and Thuggery

The West Lampung Regency Government through the Office of National and Political Unity held a socialization of the dangers of radicalism, terrorism, communism and thuggery in 2018. This effort certainly can be a model for other regions to voice the acts of rejecting radicalism, terrorism, communism and thuggery.
Also present were the Head of the National Unity and Politics Office of Raswan, with the speaker of the Deputy Chief of Police M. Riza, Major Agus Susanto from Lambar Kodim 0422, Chairperson of the MUI Ja’far sodiq and high school students and santri from Islamic boarding schools in West Lampung.
Furthermore, Expert Staff for Government and Public Welfare, Ruspan said, along with the progress of the times, radicalism and terrorism also followed the rapid development of technology, so that their influence and reach were able to penetrate territorial boundaries and be transnational in nature. Radical understanding is reflected in extreme attitudes that require rapid and fundamental changes to things that are considered fundamental by a person or group of radicals. the danger, this extreme attitude is usually implemented through acts of terror, threats and anarchism against the state and its apparatus.
The problem of terrorism in Indonesia is still a serious problem even though there have been many terrorists who have been successfully arrested and underwent legal proceedings, as well as destroyed terrorist cells and networks, radicalism and terrorism attitudes or understandings should not be linked to a particular religion. because such attitudes or understandings can occur in all religions or groups.
In addition, he wants the community to place an understanding of radicalism and terrorism in a fair portion so that they do not tend to give negative stigma towards certain religions.
Furthermore, all we need to pay attention to is the emergence of symptoms of the rise of communist ideological left radical groups (new style PKI).
The rise of communist ideology was carried out by infiltrating various lines, ranging from mass organizations, parties to state institutions. it was evident from the incessant certain parties who wanted to revoke the MPRS Decree Number 25 of 1966 concerning the dissolution of the Indonesian Communist Party.
Finally, the active role of the entire community and its leaders will greatly assist the tasks of government officials, especially in conducting early detection to be alert to the emergence of radical movements and activities of terrorism and thuggery.
Regarding thuggery, he also advised that we continue to improve cooperation in combating it. He closes, because usually acts of thuggery carried out by a handful of people can trigger a wider social conflict.
By holding this socialization is to instill an understanding that radicalism, terrorism, communism and thuggery are our common enemies and are a threat that can endanger the sovereignty of the State, national stability and pluralism of the Indonesian people. It is hoped that it will deepen the knowledge about anticipation measures by the community and women in terms of early detection of the emergence of radical ideas, threats of terror and security disturbances due to the actions of thuggery that can disrupt public order.
